Ankita Lokhande rose to fame with her stint in one of the iconic soap operas, Pavitra Rishta, alongside Sushant Singh Rajput. For the unversed, the show aired on Zee TV in 2009 and it ran for four years. Moreover, it was 'Archana' and 'Manav', i.e., Ankita and Sushant's chemistry, that kept everyone glued to their seats. Apart from playing the role of husband-wife on-screen, the duo also started dating in real life and became one of the much-loved couples back in those days. Even the couple's fans wanted them to get married. However, in a shocking turn of events they called off their relationship in 2016, which left everyone heartbroken. Fast forward to today, Ankita is married to the love of her life, Vicky Jain.
Ankita had once revealed that she turned down some big-budget movies because of her desire to get married to her ex-boyfriend, Sushant Singh Rajput. And she again talked about the same. For those who don't know, Ankita Lokhande once said 'no' to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s movie, Bajirao Mastani. In a recent interview with ETimes, Ankita Lokhande walked down the memory lane and talked about the same. The brilliant actress shared that she feels sad for making some 'wrong decision' in her life, but she never regrets it because she made the decisions of her own will.

In the same interview, Ankita stated that she would work hard to go back to the position where she was offered such high-level work. Talking about her current life, Ankita mentioned that she is living the best phase of her life with her hubby, and she isn't upset about her career.
There's certainly no denying the fact that Pavitra Rishta still remains in the core of the hearts of every 90s kid. The way Sushant, Ankita, and each member of the team portrayed their characters in the soap opera that it remained one of the best television shows. However, in another recent interview, Ankita recalled working really hard for the serial.
In an interview with TV Times, Ankita shared that she never worked as hard as she did for Pavitra Rishta. The actress mentioned that she used to work for days and nights and didn't even go home for three months. Elaborating more on the same, Ankita stated:
"I have never worked as hard in my life as I did for Pavitra Rishta. I did not go home for three months, I used to shoot there day and night. And this is a true story, there was a gents bathroom and I used to take bath there. They had kept the bathroom empty for me. My hairdresser would press my clothes. So many times, we didn’t even have fresh undergarments. So we would wash the ones we had and iron them. But it was worth it. Not 30 hours, but I have constantly worked on the sets of Pavitra Rishta for 148 hours. So that has been my record timing."

Earlier, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Ankita Lokhande recalled saying 'no' to Bajirao Mastani. The actress stated that Sanjay called her and offered her the movie, but she said no to the same as she wanted to get married to her then-boyfriend, Sushant. The actress shared that Sanjay even warned her that she would regret it, but she was not ready for the same. Ankita shared that she was also offered Happy New Year, but she turned it down too for the same reason.
