Brad Pitt revealed not being a 'great dad' to his kids

Angelina got sole custody of their children, and Pitt was allowed to meet their minor children, as the older children got the autonomy to determine whether or not they would be in contact with their father. Cut to now, Vivienne is the fourth in line to drop her father's surname. Amid this, let's look back at the time when Pitt accepted not being a 'great' dad to his kids. Speaking to GQ, Pitt was asked about his divorce being a public affair.

The actor said that he was more worried about the impact of his public divorce on his kids, given that their friends as well would get some ideas about the same, which would affect his children's social life. He also added that he had heard one of the lawyers saying that no one would win or lose in court, and it's a matter of who is getting more hurt, and it made the actor realise that it's jarring for the kids, as they had to witness their family being ripped apart all of a sudden. Brad Pitt's exact words were:

"I was really on my back and chained to a system when Child Services was called ... We're both doing our best. I heard one lawyer say, 'No one wins in court, it's just a matter of who gets hurt worse.' ... It's just very, very jarring for the kids, to suddenly have their family ripped apart."

In the same interview, Brad Pitt revealed not being a 'great' dad to his children. He wished not to focus more on his work and dedicate more of his life to his kids. The actor accepted that when he had gotten busy with work, he didn't have the time to be there. Sharing that he hasn't been that great, Brad Pitt said:

"When I get in that busy work mode, I'm not hearing. I want to be better at that. I gotta be more. I gotta be more for them. I have to show them. And I haven't been great at it."

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's son slammed the actor once

According to a report by the Daily Mail, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's son, Pax shared a private IG story where he called out his dad in a sarcastic Father's Day post. As per the publication, Pax had accused Brad of making the lives of his close people a 'living hell'. The alleged IG story also reportedly featured Pax's comment on the truth coming to light one day. Following the report about the same, one of Pitt's close allies revealed to the publication that it felt really 'bad' to see the actor being painted as a 'bad guy'. Pax's alleged story could be read as:

"You have no consideration or empathy toward your four youngest children who tremble in fear when in your presence. You have made the lives of those closest to me a constant hell. You may tell yourself and the world whatever you want, but the truth will come to light someday. So, Happy Father’s Day, you fucking awful human being!!!”
