When we had seen the 2-minute monologue of Kartik Aaryan on relationships in the movie, Pyaar Ka Punchnama, we instantly fell in love with him and his character. There was no looking back for Kartik and from his debut movie till his latest release, Pati Patni Aur Woh, he has been giving some tremendous performances. On the other hand, daughter of Chunky Panday and Bhavana Pandey, Ananya Panday had made her Bollywood debut with the movie, Student Of The Year 2 and proved that she is not just a celeb kid and have a potential to be Bollywood’s next big thing. Kartik and Ananya had shared the screen space in the movie, Pati Patni Aur Woh and ever since the shooting of the movie, the duo has been rumoured to be dating each other.
Kartik and Ananya have been spotted on casual strolls, partying and dinning together at various occasions. And every outing of theirs sparked the rumours about their dating. Recently, in an interview with the Pinkvilla, Ananya revealed how she and her rumoured beau, Kartik deals with all these rumours and speculations. When she was asked whether all these rumours have brought any changes in their equation, she revealed that it doesn’t bother her and she and Kartik laugh them off together. She further stated that her father is an actor and she know such things are a part of the industry. She also stated that she doesn’t think of these rumours and it doesn’t change their equation either. Ananya concluded by saying that just because there are certain things that people are talking about them, it doesn’t mean she will stop spending time with him and added that they work together and enjoy each other’s company.
The fact that Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday enjoy each other’s company doesn’t need any special mention as their off-screen camaraderie is enough for the same. From the promotions of their film to the special screening, the duo’s chemistry always manages to spark the rumours about their relationship. And on December 15, 2019, the same thing happened, when we had spotted Kartik and Ananya leaving a party at the wee hours. Ananya and Kartik had stepped out together after partying till early morning. When the duo had spotted the paps outside the venue, Kartik had gone straight to his car, and it was Ananya who had posed and smiled for the paps and also made sure to greet them with a ‘Good Morning.’ Kartik had spotted a cool casual look in a white t-shirt paired with black bottoms and a black jacket while Ananya had looked gorgeous in a white skirt and a lemon-coloured top. In March 2019, according to the reports in the Filmfare, Ananya and Kartik have been dating for few days, and Kartik’s growing closeness and friendship with Sara Ali Khan had bothered the actress. The report had further added that it has not been very easy for Ananya as the two have just started dating, which is why they are currently going through a rough phase as she disapproves of his increasing friendship with Sara. The report had concluded with how she had tried talking to Kartik as well, and the two are trying to make the relationship work.
In an interview with BollywoodLife, Ananya Panday was asked if dating rumours and votes pertaining to whom Kartik Aaryan looks better with (Sara or Ananya) annoys her. To which, she had shared, "No ya, I think he looks good with everyone. He is such a good looking guy. So yeah, it's cute. (But) who's voting for who? I'm not checking.” Ananya had also talked about working with her rumoured beau, Kartik. She had shared, "We shot three days in February, that was one short schedule that we did. But I’m going to Lucknow and I’m going for two months so, I’m super excited. I shot with him, I didn’t get a chance to shoot with Bhumi yet. But he is such a good actor, his command over the language is amazing so he improvises really well. And such a selfless actor, he thinks about how to make the scene better rather than just his own lines. Also, he is just fun to be around, just makes me laugh all the time."
Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s dating rumours had started doing the rounds when they were spotted in the car, coming out of a dinner date. While Kartik had rubbished all linkup rumours with Ananya by saying, “People say all sorts of things if we have lunch or dinner together. It was just one dinner. I find it strange to read such things about myself”, Sara Ali Khan had an unmissable reaction on her crush’s dating rumours. In an interaction on Famously Filmfare, the Kedarnath actress was then quoted as saying, “I find Kartik cute. It's a Sara-Sara thing. So how does it matter if he finds some other person whose name starts and ends with A cute.
