Amitabh Bachchan is soaring on the seventh heaven, as his grandson, Agastya Nanda, is soon going to make his debut on the silver screen. Being the third generation in line to do so, Agastya would be making his debut with the film, The Archies, which is all set to get released on Netflix on December 7, 2023. Ahead of the release, the entire Bachchan-Nanda clan arrived to cheer for the debutant actor for his new beginnings. And now, Agastya became a part of a fun banter with his grandfather, Amitabh Bachchan, on the show, Kaun Banega Crorepati 15.

Amitabh Bachchan shares how Agastya didn’t want to live in Mumbai and return to Delhi

The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 15 will feature the cast of The Archies, including Agastya Nanda, as they will interact and play the quiz game on the hot seat opposite to Amitabh Bachchan. In the teaser video of the upcoming episode, Agastya can be seen asking for a glass of water, even before the game started. Hearing his request, Amitabh wittily remarked:

“Kya, pani piyenge? Ye lijiye, pehla prashna aaya nahi aur pani peena shuru ho gaya hai.”

Moreover, moving further in the clip, the doting grandfather, Amitabh, recalled a fond anecdote about his grandson, Agastya, when the latter came to Mumbai to spend time with him. Sharing how Agastya never liked Mumbai and wanted to return to Delhi as soon as he came, Big B mentioned:

“Agastya’s parents had gone abroad for a trip and they left him with me. They are all from Delhi, so when he came to Mumbai, I took him out to roam in the car. From the minute he sat in the car, he said I want to go to Delhi. Finally after convincing him we got him home. After some time, he packed all his bags and carried them on his shoulders and came. I asked him, Agastya what are you doing? He said I am going to Delhi. In the end, I had to call his parents. I told them bhaisaab, aap log jaldi wapas aa jaiye, aapka beta jo hai wo Delhi jana chahta hai. They had to come back.”

Apart from Agastya, the show was also graced by Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, Suhana Khan, who is also making her debut with the film, The Archies. For those who don’t know, for quite some time now, rumours have been afire that Agastya is in a relationship with Suhana and has even introduced her to his family. During the show, Amitabh interacted with Suhana and asked what her father, Shah Rukh Khan, had said about him. In his words:

“Suhana ji, when your family came to know that you are going to come to Kaun Banega Crorepati 15, what did Shah Rukh Khan sahab tell about me?”


Hearing him, Suhana gave a very witty response and instead of answering, proposed a counter request to Big B. The diva said:

“I just want to remind you that you have played his father’s role in many films. So please ask me easy questions.”
