Even after our parents' death, we can never be able to replace their spot in our hearts and lives. Their teachings, love, care, kindness and many other things stay with us as valuable memories. Shahanshah of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan has always been very close to his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan.
On Amitabh Bachchan's father's 17th death anniversary, the actor had taken to his Twitter handle to pen down a few heartfelt words for his late babuji. He had written:
"A few moments ago he had breathed his last. My Father, as I held his hand, soft, still vibrant, the hand that wrote genius."
Harivansh Rai Bachchan was one of the most legendary and finest poets of his time, and his son, Amitabh has also picked up the ability to play with words like his father. Every now and then Amitabh Bachchan takes his social media to post a few lines and words from his father's writings to keep his legend alive. On January 18, 2022, the actor posted a blog about his father while remembering him on his 19th death anniversary. He wrote:
"And the midnight has passed by to the day of the next .. and the remembrance of Babuji .. his 'punya tithi ' .. punny tithi .. on the virtuous moment .. of the completion of his exceptional life ..and we have not even touched a hair of his contribution to the world of literature .. nor has there been attempt to do so .. but there are some who value and exhibit their desires .. like the City of Wroclaw in Poland, where his miniature statue adorns the street."
A few hours ago, Amitabh took to his Twitter handle to show his gratitude towards his followers and thanked each and every one of them for showing love for his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan. He wrote in the tweet along with some folded hands emoticons:
"Un sabhi shrota gan ko, jinhone pujya babuji ko apne sneh aadar samman diya hai, unko mera shat shat naman."
Once, Amitabh had recalled a time when his life was cloaked by the mist of sorrow and failure, and nothing was going according to his plan, and his father had consoled him by making him believe in plans of god for him. Describing the conversation, Amitabh Bachchan had posted an oil-painted sketch of himself on his Twitter handle and had written:
"'Man ka ho toh accha, man ka na ho toh zyada accha.' Babu ji ne jab mujhe mere jeevan ke ek vichlit mod par ye sikhaya, toh samajh me nahi aaya. Jo man ka na ho wo zyada accha kaise ho sakta hai. Fir jab unhone smajhaya toh samajh gaya. 'Agar tumhare man ka nahi ho raha hai, toh wo ishwar ke man ka ho raha hai, aur ishwar humesha tumhara accha hi chahega, is liye zyada accha!"
Harivansh Rai Bachchan was a poet and a great writer whose writings have not only inspired many souls but have also been used in many Bollywood films.
