Abhishek Bachchan made an impactful debut in 2000 with the film, Refugee. He went on to entertain cinema-goers with superhit movies like Dhoom, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, Dostana, among others. However, Abhishek was always pitted against his father and legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan, during his acting career. But Abhishek never let the constant comparison take a toll on his self-confidence. Since 2020, he has worked in back-to-back outstanding OTT movies and called himself ‘The Bachchan Of OTT’.

On December 22, 2022, Amitabh Bachchan took to his IG handle and uploaded a screen grab from the Filmfare OTT Awards Mumbai. The veteran actor also expressed his proud moment as a daddy. Since Abhishek Bachchan won the award for best actor for the film, Dasvi, Big B has been overjoyed with happiness. In his note, Amitabh penned how people used to ridicule, mock and shame Abhishek for his dull career in Bollywood, but he silently proved his acting mettle with Dasvi. He penned:

“My pride .. my joy .. you have proved your point .. you were derided , ridiculed mocked .. but you silently without any tom tomming , showed your mettle .. you are and shall ever be the BEST, and remember WHTCTW!!!”

Amitabh Bachchan reacted as his son, Abhishek Bachchan’s team won the Pro Kabaddi League 

On December 18, 2022, Abhishek Bachchan was on cloud nine as his team, Jaipur Pink Panthers, lifted the trophy at the Pro Kabaddi League. In many viral pictures and videos doing rounds on the internet, the actor was seen hugging his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, at the stadium and sharing happy moments with their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. To congratulate Abhishek, the doting daddy, Amitabh had taken to his Twitter handle and penned:

“Silently you worked your destined way, Never did you let your determination stray. You bore the brunt of bias thought , And quietly brought all of them to naught !!!! You are a CHAMPION Abhishek! and you will remain a CHAMPION always.”

Abhishek Bachchan revealed if he would like to go back to the past and break ties with his superstar parents 

Over the years, Abhishek Bachchan has been facing criticism from the audience with his open arms. From being called a talentless actor to being targeted for nepotism, Abhishek had faced it all. In an old interview, he was asked if he would like to travel in the past and cut all the ties with his superstar parents, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. Answering this, Junior Bachchan had said that he would never do that as he finds enormous pride in being Amitabh and Jaya’s son. Moreover, he had also called it a privilege that he was born with a silver spoon. 


When Jaya Bachchan had refused to watch her son, Abhishek Bachchan’s web series 

In an interview with India Today, Abhishek had revealed that his mom, Jaya Bachchan refused to watch his web series, Breathe: Into The Shadows 2. He mentioned how his family members were all set to experience the action-packed series, except his mom. Stating a hilarious reason behind it, Abhishek stated that Jaya gets scared of violent and aggressive content, so she avoids watching action movies.
