When Amitabh Bachchan And Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Sought Blessings At Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations

Every year, the nation chants ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya! Mangal Murti Morya!’ as they welcome Lord Ganpati in their homes with pomp and show. Especially in Maharashtra, no stone is left unturned in expressing devotion and love for Lord Ganesha and just how excitedly we welcome the God at home, with a heavy heart we bid adieu. We hope for a better future to bring Lord Ganesha home again next year, but little did we know in 2019 that the celebrations in 2020 won’t be the same as always. Though the excitement was same, but the grand celebrations became an intimate one due to the pandemic 2020. (Also Read: Shilpa Shetty Dances Her Heart Out With Viaan Raj Kundra, Opts For An Eco-Friendly Ganpati Visarjan)

In 2018, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her little princess, Aaradhya Bachchan had visited GSB Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations and the former had posted a glimpse of the same on her IG handle. Aishwarya and Aaradhya had looked divine in their traditional best as the former had embraced her ‘mini me’ from the back with a sacred red and golden dupatta. Aishwarya had captioned the picture as “Me n Mine at GSB Ganpati Darshan.”

The Bachchan clan is known for celebrating every festival together and with great enthusiasm. However, this year’s celebration has been low-key due to the struggle and victory against the novel virus. Scrolling through the social media feed, we got hold of a throwback picture of Amitabh Bachchan and his daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, seeking blessings from Lord Ganesha. While Big B had looked soigné in a white kurta and Nehru jacket, Aishwarya swooned us in her traditional yellow ensemble. Mr Bachchan and Aishwarya had posed for the picture, with their hands folded as they had offered their prayers.

Amitabh Bachchan had later posted a picture of Lord Ganesha’s idol at his home, and had captioned it, “Ganesh Chaturthi pe Ganesh Vandana; sukh shaanti aur samridhi; pariwaar ke saath ghar me Ganesh aarti ka uchcharan; haath se bane modak laddoo; ek sukhad vatavaran; Jeevan me isse badi abhilasha nahi” in Hindi. (Also Read: Hrithik Roshan's Ex-Wife, Sussanne Khan Celebrates Ganpati Visarjan With Him And His Family)
