Amaal Mallik Opens Up About Salman Khan's Bias Towards Him In 'BB19', 'It Is True That I..'

Bigg Boss 19 might have ended, however the once-contestants of the house are still providing ample entertainment to the viewers. Some of the most talked-about housemates of BB19 have addressed many of the controversies that arose in the game. Music composer and BB19 finalist, Amaal Mallik, has also opened up about whether Salman Khan was biased towards him or not, as claimed by the audience and fans of other contestants. Here's what he said.

Amaal Mallik talks about the familial bond with Salman Khan but denies accusations of biasedness

Amaal Mallik, in an interview with Zoom, said that since he comes from a legacy family with ties to the industry, people might have the perception that Salman Khan favoured him in Bigg Boss 19. Amaal said that since Salman has worked with his father, Daboo Malik and uncle, Anu Malik there is a 'family association'. In fact, the music composer shared that he 'exists in the industry' due to Salman, but denied the notion that there was any bias towards him in the show. Amaal said:

“I have done three-four songs. So there is a working relationship and a little bit because when you work and they have worked with the parents and the uncle and everyone. So there is that family association. Yes, but it is true that I exist in this industry as a music composer because of Salman Khan. But it is not like he picked me up and kept me in his lap, and whatever I do, he says, ‘My son, you did very well.’ It is not like that."

Amaal Mallik clarified on accusations that Salman Khan did not reprimand him in Bigg Boss 19

Neutral viewers and fans of other contestants alike were of the opinion that during the Weekend ka Vaar episodes, Salman Khan did not scold Amaal Mallik for his aggressive behavior and use of swear words as much as he did with the other housemates. Amaal addressed this, too, and said that he was also scolded by Salman, but a lot of it did not make the final cut since the host's conversations with other contestants also had to be shown within one episode. The music composer was quoted as saying:

“If, according to people, I got 30% scolding, then I got 70%. But then the whole episode becomes only about me. Also, think that they have to show parts of others also getting scolded."

Amaal Mallik said that Salman Khan was angry at his appearance in BB19

Amaal Mallik shared that Salman had no prior knowledge that he was entering the show. The music composer stated that since he not informed Salman that he would be participating in the show, the actor was angry at first. Amaal claimed that he did not receive a friendly introduction because of this. For the unversed, during the premiere of Bigg Boss 19, Salman addressed the controversies surrounding the music composer's social media posts and his familial issues. The host also lightly addressed Amaal as 'paglet' due to his comments.
