The world woke up to a sad news yesterday (October 01, 2018). Often regarded as the ‘First Lady’ of Bollywood, Raj Kapoor’s wife, Krishna Raj Kapoor passed away at the age of 87 in Mumbai, due to cardiac arrest. And ever since, innumerous friends from the industry were spotted at the Kapoor mansion to offer their condolences to the family. Another soon-to-be Kapoor member, Alia Bhatt, was also spotted at the funeral. A video clipping has gone viral which shows Alia trying hard to make it virtually possible for boyfriend Ranbir to attend his dadi’s last rites. In the video, you will also spot Alia looking irritated as she was apparently losing Ranbir due to poor connection. The Sanju actor is currently travelling outside the country with parents, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, who were unable to attend the funeral. Here, take a look at the video:
Alia stood by her beau’s family like a rock during such a difficult time for the family. The beautiful actress was seen standing by her to-be sister-in-law, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and the duo were spotted getting all teary. Take a look at the pictures here:
Krishna Raj Kapoor had been complaining of breathlessness for quite sometime before she passed away yesterday. Giving a statement to PTI, Ranbir’s bade papa, Randhir Kapoor shared with PTI, “My mother passed away at about 5 am today due to cardiac arrest...old age was another factor. In an interview with Mid-day, Ranbir shared interesting details about his granny. He had stated that Krishna ji had more knowledge about films that he, being an actor himself. Though never being a part of the limelight, Ranbir had also shared that Krishna Raj Kapoor was closely associated with all Raj Kapoor movies.
Also, do you know who was Raj Kapoor’s biggest critic? It was his wife, Krishna Raj Kapoor herself! Ranbir shared that when Raj Kapoor took his wife to watch Bobby, the change that she had suggested had put the director into sheer thought. This made her husband change the very climax of the film! Apart from this, Ranbir had also shared about how Raj Kapoor would wake wife, Krishna, late in the night and take her to the studio to ask for her opinion for his films. (Checkout!
