Alia Bhatt had, time and again confessed her ‘crush’ for Ranbir Kapoor and their Cupid, Ayan Mukerji made ‘Ralia’ happen! It was a sight to behold when Alia and Ranbir had walked hand-in-hand at Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand Ahuja’s wedding reception, as it came as an official confirmation about their brewing romance. And since then, there has been no looking back for Alia and Ranbir as they have been painting the town red with their oh-so-admiring romance.
When we talk about modern-day romance, a new way of expressing love for one another and agreeing with each other's thoughts is twinning with outfits. At Alia’s BFF, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor’s birthday bash on September 17, 2019, lovebirds Alia and Ranbir twinned in black and as always, their contagious smiles are enough to drive away our mid-week blues. But what else made our hearts swoon was Alia and Ranbir’s ‘never let you go’ pose wherein she tightly hugged her beau. Alia also posted a birthday wish for her BFF, Akansha and with their childhood picture, her simple caption spoke thousands of words which could be read as "happy birthday my everything."
A few days back, after almost spending 11 months and 11 days in the New York City, Ranbir Kapoor’s parents, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor had returned to India! And as per the reports, a ‘welcome back’ party for them was hosted by their son, Ranbir. As amazing as it sounds, there was one guest (not limited to a mere 'guest' anymore, though!), who had to be there. Any guesses who it would be? As correct as some of you might get, it was none other than the soon-to-be Kapoor bahu, Alia Bhatt! Alia had looked like sunshine in a yellow kurta-sharara as she had joined her beau, Ranbir and her soon-to-be in-laws at the Kapoor residence. In October 2018, we had shared with you that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor might take the ‘great vow’ after the latter’s father, Rishi Kapoor’s recovery from cancer. A close family friend of the Kapoors had thrown light on the same and had shared, “She has been welcomed into the family by everyone. So it’s not just Ranbir who loves Alia. His parents, sister and the rest of the sprawling Kapoor family adore her too. Marriage is on Ranbir’s mind for sure and he will get into it happily this time. The couple will wait until Rishi Kapoor’s recovery before discussing a date for marriage.”
While we can only wait to see when Alia Bhatt will add the ‘Kapoor’ surname to her name, a fan had given us a glimpse of how the lovebirds would look as the bride and groom on their wedding day. A photoshopped picture of Alia and Ranbir had taken the social media by rage sometime back, fooling everyone to think that the much-in-love couple had secretly gotten married. During the Ganesh Chaturthi 2019 celebrations at Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s residence, Antilia, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt had walked together and their chemistry was unmissable in the pictures. Needless to say, Alia had looked breathtakingly beautiful in a pink and yellow floral printed nine-yards with a huge pair of chaandbaalis accentuating her look just about perfectly. Ranbir had looked dapper in a silver-grey kurta, which he had paired with a jacket. Alia and Ranbir had happily posed for the cameras, post which the latter had held his ladylove by her waist and and later, the duo had made their way inside Antilia.
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are working on their first film together, Brahmastra and in an interview with Firstpost, the former had revealed how she had to plead to the director, Ayan Mukerji to cast her with Ranbir in the film. She had stated, “The idea for Brahmastra was conceived long back when Ayan had just done Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. I wanted to work with him and I have always wanted to work with Ranbir as well. I pleaded to Ayan that please cast me with him.” Alia had spoken at length about her beau, Ranbir’s talent and how he is just like her when it comes to acting, “With Ranbir, it is a completely different experience because I have always admired him. He is my favourite actor since he made his debut. He will always remain my favourite because he is so honest and effortless. When I set to work with him, I was thinking that I will understand his process of acting, but there’s no process. He is like me, he acts in front of the camera, and suddenly off camera, he is seen eating chocolates, or chatting, wanting to know what is the gossip for the day.
