What had started as a crush had gradually developed into something beautiful for Bollywood's gorgeous diva, Alia Bhatt. It was Alia, who had confessed about her crush on Ranbir Kapoor on Karan Johar's chat show, Koffee With Karan and had also shared her wish to marry him. Well, destiny had played its role in bringing the two together and they had signed their first film, Brahmastra.
In 2017, while shooting for Brahmastra, love had blossomed between Ranbir and Alia and the two had fallen head-over-heels. Rumour mills were churning about their love story when in May 2018, the duo had made a stunning appearance at Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's wedding reception. Holding hands, Ranbir and Alia had made their relationship public.
In a throwback interview with Filmfare, Alia Bhatt had talked about Ranbir Kapoor and his past relationships. Talking about the same, she had revealed that his past never mattered to her as she too had a past. In her words:
"How does it matter? It’s part of someone’s life and who cares. Aur main thodi na kam hoon."
Further in the interview, Alia had shared that her boyfriend, Ranbir is not at all a difficult person. Calling him a simple person, Alia had retorted:
"Let me tell you he’s not difficult. He’s a supremely simple person. He’s such a nice human being that I wish I was as good as him. As an actor, as a person, as everything. He’s way better a person than I am."
Do you know how Alia had met Ranbir for the first time? They had first met officially during the prep of a film, which never got made. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Alia had recalled the first meeting and had stated that Sanjay Leela Bhansali had wanted to make a film with her titled Balika Vadhu and she was called for the prep photoshoot.

She had further recalled that Ranbir too was there as he was assisting Sanjay Leela Bhansali. During one of the shots, Sanjay had asked her to put her head on Ranbir's shoulder and a picture of the same was taken. Alia had said that she had felt very shy and still have the picture with her.
Every appearance of Ranbir and Alia makes their fans go aww. On December 15, 2021, the cast of Brahmastra had unveiled the poster and had announced the release date of the much-awaited film. During the event, Alia Bhatt had asked Ranbir Kapoor if he remembered the first day when it had all started. To which, Ranbir had quipped, "You mean, when 'WE' started?" Then, answering his girlfriend, Alia, Ranbir had not just revealed the exact date and place but had also shared one of the cutest moments of their relationship. He had said:
"2017, 1st of January, Israel, Tel Aviv. And, I remember there's a picture on your Instagram that you put the next morning with a black ganji and a leather jacket which, by the way, she sent to me 15 minutes before she put it on Instagram."
Ranbir and Alia are definitely one of the most loved jodi of the glamour world.
