However, it looks like Alia often receives hatred from a section of netizens, who are unimpressed and irked about her statements and exaggerated claims.
Alia Bhatt often takes out time to interact with her die-hard fans and keeps on updating them with the tidbits of her life. On December 17, 2023, Alia Bhatt hosted a QnA session on her IG handle, wherein she spilt the beans on many unheard anecdotes of her personal life. However, the most interesting part was when a user asked the actress to reveal her actual height. Responding to it, she shared that her height is 164 cm.

Now, a Reddit user shared a screengrab of Alia Bhatt's IG story on the discussion platform, which ignited a debate around Alia Bhatt's real height. While some users claimed the actress was lying about her height, others hilariously mentioned that she was adding the length of her heels to her height. Meanwhile, some users even compared Alia's height to Kareena Kapoor and Karishma Kapoor, and pointed out how she looks shorter than them. Check out the reactions below:
Earlier, Alia Bhatt graced the GQ Men Awards of the Year event in Mumbai and flaunted her bold avatar. She opted for a maroon-hued jumpsuit, featuring a deep plunging neckline, two side pockets and a zip on the backside. However, now, a netizen shared a collage of Alia's pictures from the event on Reddit. While one side of the picture was from Alia's IG handle, the other one was captured by the paps. Sharing the photo, the netizen pointed out that the actress photoshopped her pictures to show slimmer arms.
As soon as the pictures were shared online, netizens were shocked to see the difference between the two glimpses. They flooded the post's comment section and expressed their views about the same. While some users slammed the actress for being a hypocrite, others pointed out how she is insecure about her own body. Some users also trolled her for preaching about body positivity and not following it in real life.

Back in October 2023, Alia Bhatt attended the HT summit, wherein she was asked about facing online trolling on a daily basis. Talking about the same, Alia said that when she receives criticism from her fans, she prefers to stay silent as she has grown into someone who has nothing to complain about. However, she added that she was affected by the trolls initially and was more defensive and said:
“I have lived my life in the public eye. So I have gone through different stages of scrutiny that maybe I have faced. Maybe initially I was a little more defensive. When you are younger, you are like, ‘Arre why are they saying this?' But later on, I was a bit more dismissive; 'Forget it, nobody cares'. But I think I have grown into a person who genuinely feels that I have nothing to complain about. And I don’t think that with the position and privilege that I have, it doesn't look like to say that ‘Oh I don’t like that people are saying maybe not so nice things about me'."
