Taking to Reddit, a user dropped a clip of Alia from the event, wherein she could be seen recalling the first time that she met her husband, Ranbir Kapoor. The diva mentioned that she was all but 9 at that time, while Ranbir was 21. However, netizens point out the moment when she used the word, ‘now husband’ to refer to Ranbir Kapoor.

As soon as the video was shared, eagle-eyed netizens took note of the same and started to slam Alia Bhatt for the way in which she referred to her husband. Well, a fair share of netizens were unimpressed and rather irked by the way that Alia often refers to Ranbir as her now husband. For the unversed, in another interview, she once called Ranbir her ‘then boyfriend and now husband’. Taking the cue from the same, a netizen commented, “Why does she have to bring it up everytime? It sounds weird, like girl you aren't helping.” Another user penned, “She always tries to prove that she was destined to be with Ranbir. It only shows her insecurity more. It’s annoying at this point. We all know he is her husband. No need to bring him up in every interview”.
Some time back, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor grabbed headlines after the former made some startling revelations about the latter. Moreover, it even led to people tag Ranbir as a toxic husband. For the unversed, in a previous interview with Vogue, Alia recalled her courtship period with Ranbir Kapoor and revealed how he always asked her to wipe her lipstick, whenever they went on a date. Sharing his love for her natural lip colour, Alia said:
“I thought, that was just something that I worked out for myself, and then, I rub it off. Because one thing my husband, when he wasn’t my husband when he was my boyfriend as well, says when we used to go out at night, he used to say ‘Wipe that [lipstick] off. Wipe that off’. Because he loves the natural colour of my lip."

In the rapid-fire interview with Karan Johar on his show, Koffee With Karan 8, Alia Bhatt addressed the frequent rumours and misconceptions that float around about her personal life. The diva revealed:
“It’s the age of the internet. Someday I have got buccal fat surgery, someday I’m whitening my skin, someday I’m having marriage issues. Misconceptions are misconceptions, so they don’t bother me.”
