The couple became parents for the first time with the arrival of their daughter, Raha into their lives on November 6, 2022. While some of their fans were impressed with their baby girl's unique name, others were not pleased by it. Now, the netizens are trolling Ranbir and Alia for the announcement post of their newborn's name.
On November 24, 2022, Alia Bhatt shared the first-ever glimpse of her newborn baby girl and revealed her unique name. In the family portrait, we could see the new dad, Ranbir Kapoor, holding the baby while Alia was looking at her in awe. We could also see a beautifully framed picture of the baby's Barcelona jersey with 'Raha' written on it. Revealing the meaning of her daughter's unique name, Alia shared that it was chosen by her wise dadi, Neetu Kapoor.

As soon as Alia and Ranbir delighted the world with the beautiful glimpse of their daughter, Raha, the internet went into a frenzy. Their fans bombarded the post's comment section and poured their love on the little munchkin. However, a section of netizens didn't like the fact that the couple used a Barcelona jersey to announce such great news. Earlier, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were trolled for welcoming their daughter within seven months of their wedding. For the unversed, the couple tied the knot on April 14, 2022, and became parents on November 6, 2022. Reportedly, Alia had a C-section delivery and gave birth to her daughter at 12:05 p.m. However, a section of netizens flooded social media with mean comments and memes, targeting the couple with a lot of hatred. While a user claimed that Alia should be the next Education Minister, another one wrote, “Ye calculation theek nahi baith raha.”

In an interview with Marie Claire, taken a few days before Alia Bhatt gave birth to her daughter, the actress was asked about raising her child in the spotlight. To which, the then-mommy-to-be revealed that she is a little concerned about that as she doesn't want any intrusion into her child's life. Stating that she feels very protective towards her baby's privacy, Alia had said:
“I am a little concerned about bringing up a child in the public eye. I talk about it with my friends, with my family, and my husband a lot. I don’t want there to be a, sort of, intrusion into my child’s life. Because at the end of the day, I have chosen this path, but maybe my child may not want to choose this path when he or she grows up...so that’s something that I feel very protective about.”
