In a recent interview with the Bombay Times, Alia Bhatt opened up about her decision to get married to Ranbir Kapoor and embrace motherhood at the peak of her career. Talking about the same, the doting mommy said that having her daughter, Raha is the best decision of her life, and she will never regret it. Alia also mentioned that she is someone who always listens to her heart, and the decision to tie the knot and have a baby was a natural instinct. She even stated that she could never be any happier than this. In her words:
"There is no right or wrong in life. What works for me might not work for someone else. I have always been someone who listens to my heart. You can’t plan life. Whether it’s films or anything else, I always let my heart decide. Yes, at the peak of my career, I decided to get married and have a baby. But who says that marriage or motherhood will change anything to do with my work? Even if it does, so be it. I don’t care. I knew that in life, I would never regret the decision to have a baby. It’s a natural instinct. It’s the best decision that I have ever made. I have never been happier or more fulfilled. Every moment is more meaningful as a mother."

Further, in the same conversation, Alia said that her decision to get married and embrace motherhood should never come in the way of her work. She also mentioned that she believes in herself as an actor. Revealing how she doesn't stress much about work, Alia stated that she values her life beyond it. Further, the newbie mommy said that she wants to balance her personal and professional life. In Alia's words:
"I believe in myself as an actor. If you work hard, are a good actor and if people want to work with you, aapke paas kaam aayega. And if work doesn’t come to you, then so be it. Maybe it’s not your time. I am not someone who stresses too much about it. I value my work a lot, but I also value my life beyond it, and I want to strike a balance between the two. Dil mein jo aata hai woh karo."
On November 24, 2022, Alia had taken to her IG handle and shared the first-ever picture with her baby girl. In the picture, we could see the doting daddy, Ranbir holding the baby while Alia cutely looked at her. In the backdrop, a Nike co-ord set was framed, and on the jersey featured their little munchkin's unique name, 'Raha'. It was a lovely moment shared between the couple and their newborn angel. The doting mommy also revealed the meaning of her daughter's name and shared that it was chosen by her dadi, Neetu Kapoor.

For the unversed, it was on June 27, 2022, when Alia and Ranbir had announced their pregnancy news. Taking to her IG handle, the actress posted pictures to announce the same. The first picture was from the hospital, where Alia could be seen having her sonography done, while Ranbir accompanied her. In the picture, the soon-to-be parents were seen adorably looking into the sonography. The second picture was of a lion and lioness along with their cub.
On the work front, Alia Bhatt was last seen in the film, Brahmastra.
