Today, they are considered one of the cutest jodis, but not many know Alia has always been in love with Ranbir, so much so that, she had confessed about her feelings on national television. She had expressed her desire to marry him on Karan Johar’s celebrity chat show, Koffee With Karan, in 2013. And when the two very single and good-looking stars had signed Ayan Mukerji’s film, Brahmastra, the cupid played its part and they fell in love.
Yesterday, on November 9, 2019, Ranbir and Alia went on a dinner with Ranbir's mother, Neetu Kapoor and her family. In the pictures that have been trending on social media, we can see Alia looking gorgeous in a red ensemble. On the other hand, Ranbir looked dashing in a white tee. Ranbir had broken many hearts when he had confirmed his relationship with Alia in an interview with the GQ magazine. He had said, “It's really new right now, and I don't want to overspeak. When I see her work, when I see her act, even in life, what she gives is something that I'm aspiring to for myself. In an interview with the Bombay Times, Alia had talked about her beautiful relationship with Ranbir and how it has grown over time. She had shared, "It’s not a relationship. It’s a friendship. I’m saying this with all genuineness and honesty. It’s beautiful. I’m walking on stars and clouds right now. The best part is that we’re two individuals who are living our own professional lives in its full form right now. He’s shooting continuously. So am I. It’s not a situation where you’ll see us constantly together. That’s the true mark of a comfortable relationship. Nazar na lage."
In another interview with Firstpost, Alia had revealed how she had always admired Ranbir. She had stated, "With Ranbir, it is a completely different experience because I have always admired him. He is my favourite actor since he made his debut. He will always remain my favourite because he is so honest and effortless. When I set to work with him, I was thinking that I will understand his process of acting, but there’s no process. He is like me, he acts in front of the camera, and suddenly off-camera, he is seen eating chocolates or chatting, wanting to know what is the gossip for the day.
