Has Alia Bhatt overshadowed Sharvari Wagh in Alpha?

Ever since Alpha has premiered at the CBFC, multiple film critics, who were present at the screening have been sharing their reviews. While most reviews hint at a refreshing narrative with Alia and Sharvari’s powerful performance, a review by a user named Umair Sandhu has been grabbing attention for the wrong reason.

Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh

The user described Alpha as a "below average" action thriller and suggested that Alia Bhatt’s screen presence has overshadowed the stellar performance of Sharvari Wagh. Even though the review and the user cannot be verified, multiple fans feel that it might be true, as Alia Bhatt is the bigger star amongst the two. Amid this comparison, an old comment of Sharvari has resurfaced, in which she fondly spoke about Alia and revealed that being a part of Alpha ‘means the world’ to her. She added:

"She (Alia Bhatt) is an incredible human being first and foremost, and a brilliant actor. I am always in awe of Alia, and have been a huge fan of hers. To be able to just work with her, share screen and headline a film like Alpha means the world to me. To just be in the same space and be able to learn from her is an invaluable experience."
