Reliance Jio Infocomm Chairman, Akash Ambani was recently invited to IIT Bombay to talk about the future plans of Reliance Industries’ telecommunication. Akash looked confident while he talked about many aspects of his life. But the dynamite business, who is known for his shy nature, shared a funny anecdote about his father, Mukesh Ambani’s reaction to him speaking at the event.
In one of the segments, Akash revealed that his father didn’t believe that he would be able to talk at IIT Bombay. Elaborating on Mukesh Ambani’s take, Akash revealed:
“Being at IIT Bombay is part of my bucket list. My father always wanted me to be an engineer. Full disclaimer, I am not an engineer. To be invited to an engineering college of such stature is an honour. In fact, my father was not believing that I was going to come here and speak, so he sent my wife Shloka who is kind enough to be a witness.”

The 32-year-old scion revealed that Reliance Telco is working with IIT Bombay to launch a Bharat GPT programme, an AI initiative by the company, which will be introduced across all sectors of society. During the interaction, Akash revealed that he is blessed to have inspirations at his own home in the form of his grandfather, the late Dhirubhai Ambani, his father, Mukesh Ambani and his mother, Nita Ambani.
On the platform, Akash also revealed that he has been obsessed with technology ever since his father, Mukesh Ambani got his first phone in 2003. He also elaborated on the role of technology in promoting equality and bridging the gap between nations.

Akash Ambani pursued his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Brown University in the US. At the event, Akash revealed how his college was one of the most amazing phases of his life. Calling it the pivotal time, Akash stated:
“College is the best time of your life, somethings that i would do differently is learning more from my classes and classmates. Educational experience of college is important but the social experience of the college is also important.”
