Akanksha Puri and Jad Hadid have constantly been hitting the headlines since after the duo indulged in a 30-second steamy kiss inside the Bigg Boss OTT 2 house. For the unversed, the duo was given a task by their co-contestant, Avinash Sachdev, and as a result, they got into a lip-lock moment, which became the talk of the nation. Soon after that, Akanksha got evicted from the show. Now, Akanksha has been dropping the truth bombs since she came out of the house.
In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Akanksha Puri was asked about Bigg Boss OTT 2 host, Salman Khan's apology. As a reply, Akanksha said that it felt bad to see the host asking for an apology, but it was even worse that the apology video was not promoted as much as the kiss video of her and Jad. Akanksha mentioned that there were several thumbnails, screenshots, and reels of her and Jad kissing on the app. She stated that on the app, the episode was named the 'Hottest kiss ever', which was promoted way too much than Salman Khan's apology video. Talking about the same, Akanksha said:
"The teaser and trailer that were posted on the app. There were so many reels which were promoted so much. There were thumbnails, screenshots of me and Jad kissing. They wrote ‘Hottest Kiss Ever’ and that was the name of the episode on the app. I saw that more than the apology video."

In the same interview, Akanksha mentioned that she felt used somehow and said that if the kissing was wrong, one could have stopped it immediately. Akanksha mentioned that if the contestants in the house do not wear their mic properly or speak in English, then Bigg Boss quickly object to that, but during the task of her and Jad kissing, no one stopped them. Akanksha mentioned:
"On one hand, you are promoting it so much. I feel I was used somehow. You used me for it, and your host had to apologise for it so I found these things very contradictory… And if this was so wrong, they could have stopped the task."
Further, in the interview, Akanksha Puri called out the makers of the show and said that the kissing scene was decided and planned. When she was questioned if the makers wanted the kiss to happen in the house, Akanksha stated that if the makers had a problem with the kiss, then the clip was not promoted, and it won't be everywhere. She said she felt used because she had been blamed and got eliminated from the house. When asked whether the makers of BB OTT 2 were manipulative, Akanksha said, "You can say that." Moreover, Akanksha could be quoted as saying:
"They could have said stop the task and we would have stopped it, but no one stopped it. That task took a while, it was decided, planned, we accepted it and then we did it. In all of this, they couldn’t have stopped us?” she questioned. When asked if the makers wanted that kiss to happen, she said, “Obviously, I feel that way. Makers had no issues with that kiss that is why it was telecast, that it was it was promoted, that is why it is everywhere. And I was given the blame for that and eliminated from the house. I definitely feel used."

After the kiss between Akanksha Puri and Jad Hadid made rounds on social media, Salman Khan reacted to the same in the Weekend Ka Vaar episode. In the promo video of the episode, Salman looked a bit disappointed about everything that had happened. The actor slammed the contestants for the same and asked if whatever happened was according to their upbringing, family values, and culture. Further in the video, Salman could be heard saying that he was leaving the show.
