For the unversed, the celebrity couple tied the marital knot on February 24, 1999, in a traditional Maharashtrian wedding. Then the duo hopped onto the parenthood by welcoming their kids, Nysa and Yug. Whenever the duo appeared on the screen together for a show or interview, they never skipped a chance to share anecdotes from their marital life in a hilarious way. The same happened again when Ajay joined the trailer launch event for Kajol's upcoming series.
On June 12, 2023, Ajay Devgn appeared to be the special guest at the trailer launch event of Kajol's upcoming series, The Trial. A clip from the same event is currently doing rounds on the internet, where Kajol's doting husband gives a savage reply upon being asked about the anecdotes of his and Kajol's marital life. However, in the video, Kajol looked stunning as she donned a red-coloured outfit. She opted for a dewy makeup base that included highlighted cheekbones, blushy cheeks, soft eyeshadow, and nude lipstick. For accessories, Kajol chose a pair of golden earrings and matching bangles. The actress completed her look with a pair of classy golden heels. Ajay, on the other hand, complemented his wife in a grey-coloured v-neck T-shirt and paired it with faded blue denim pants.

The video shared by the paparazzo handle featured Ajay and Kajol engaging in a media interaction. During the interaction, Ajay was asked if Kajol acts like her reel-life character in real life when it comes to taking the major decision at home. To such a question, Kajol replied, "Bilkul nahi, jawaab mein de deti hoon. Bilkul nahi!" However, it was Ajay Devgn's hilarious reply that left everyone ROFL. The actor asked the interviewer, 'Apki shaadi ho gayi?' His response left everyone at the event in splits. Moreover, Ajay then added that this question can be answered by anyone who is married and the answer will be the same for every single one. Ajay can be heard saying:
"Toh is sawaal ka jawab aap bhi de sakte ho... jis ki shaadi hui he sab desakte he. Swaal ka jawaab ek hi hoga. Sabka unanimously ek hi jawaab hoga ."
