The iconic actor, Ajay Devgn, who continues to surprise and shock people with his movie performances, is undoubtedly one of the biggest superstars that Hindi cinema ever witnessed. Over the decades, he is one of the few actors, who have managed to become relevant during the transitional phase in Bollywood. Even with the sudden wave of OTT, Ajay Devgn has managed to grab the attention of Gen-Z with his impressive performance in the web series, Rudra: The Edge of Darkness.
For the unversed, Ajay Devgn made his acting debut in Hindi cinema with the film, Kaante, which was released back in 1991. The actor had also won the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Male. And, even after almost 32 years, he is still leading the headlines with his movies. The actor was last seen in the film, Bholaa and is excited about his upcoming film, Maidaan.

The critically-acclaimed actor, Ajay Devgn recently attended the Critics’ Choice Awards 2023, where he opened up about his journey in the film industry so far. The actor went back in time and recalled the days when he was one of the stars, who were ruling the Hindi film industry. The actor shared how he used to work on almost 14 films at the same time. The actor used to receive a lot of film offers, as his every film used to break box-office records.
Ajay Devgn also admitted that there were many actors like him, who were working on a dozen of movies all at once. However, the guild soon announced that no actor would work on more than 12 films simultaneously. So it was when Ajay started doing 2-3 films simultaneously and considered ending his career. The actor added that for the first time in his life, he started losing interest in films and wanted to stop going out on shoots. Opening about the same, he said:
"That was the point where I felt that I don’t want to work anymore, and I stopped doing this. I started doing two or three films in a year. That was the only phase."

However, further, in his statement, Ajay Devgn revealed how he used to start working at 7 in the morning, and his shift ended at midnight. Recalling how exhausting yet exciting it was for him to work on so many different projects simultaneously, the actor called it an exciting experience. Ajay admitted that he is a workaholic, and whenever he goes on a vacation with his family for two days, he starts feeling antsy and wants to return back to the sets. The actor added that he is extremely passionate about his work and cannot imagine a life without going out on the sets.
