From Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor Khan-Taimur Ali Khan and Abhishek Bachchan-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-Aaradhya Bachchan to Boney Kapoor-Janhvi Kapoor-Arjun Kapoor-Anshula Kapoor-Khushi Kapoor and Shilpa Shetty Kundra-Raj Kundra-Shamita Shetty-Viaan Raj Kundra, most of the B-town families had bid adieu to their normal busy routine life and headed for a vacation to celebrate Christmas and ring in New Year.
Kajol and Ajay Devgn opted for a sunnier escape this holiday season and they jetted off for a year-end vacation to Thailand on December 23, 2018. Ajay along with his mother, wife Kajol and son Yug Devgn was snapped at the airport. Ajay shared a glimpse of the fun he is having with his family, and his daughter, Nysa Devgn too joined them for the family vacay. As they all happily posed together in a pool, Ajay wrote, “Somewhere in between Christmas & New Year”.
Doesn’t that give you major vacay goals? On Christmas, Kajol too posted a goofy picture of herself grinning broadly donning a pair of reindeer antlers for an accessory and festive red lipstick, and captioned it, “A very merry Christmas to allllll........ #christmas #christmasday #beachychristmas #waves #funinthesand #bestxmasever”.
Ajay Devgn and Kajol recently appeared on the sixth season of the celebrity chat show, Koffee With Karan and Kajol revealed that Ajay is an "excessively hysterical parent" to their children. Kajol had stated, "The nitty-gritties drive him insane. It's the details, basically. You know, 'Where are you going? What time are you coming back? Who have you got with you? Where are you going exactly?'"
Ajay Devgn further elaborated on the same and shared if he is worried about his daughter, Nysa going out with boys, "Not really. But I keep thinking about it and I'm like... When she was here also, she was going out in the evenings. So many times, her deadline was like, 11.30-12, and till she came home, I would be down, waiting for her at the door." To which, Karan added, "I just want to say that my mother (Hiroo Johar) is 75 and I'm 46 and nothing has changed."
Karan Johar called Ajay and Kajol a ‘unique couple’ with two totally different people with contrasting personalities but a successful couple. When asked how they stand so strong as a couple while the world is full of people with a history of failed marriages, Ajay answered, “If you keep evolving with time and keep accepting things, you will be fine. You cannot be stuck where you were.”
Ajay added further, “Sometimes, Kajol and I don’t speak a word for hours. I am on my iPad watching something and for three hours she might be sitting there reading. There is a comfortable silence around us. When people feel insecure about things like why they are not talking or keep thinking if something is wrong with them—then there is a problem.”
Sharing advice for the married couples, Ajay went on to add, “Initially, yes. I think eventually if two people get along and there are no insecurities. Insecurity is a major thing. Honestly speaking, you cannot be the way you were like 20 years back. Yes, things change and so from love, couples graduate to caring for each other and not being able to live without each other. Not because of love but because you care and you become a part of each other.”
Kajol shared her belief that couples have to work towards their marriage to make it a successful one, “I think, marriage is something that may not be prescribed for some people. But people who make it work, make it work because they want to make it work every day of their lives. I think relationships somehow are made out of those little bits, a little bit of not getting along and getting along also. It’s a process, it’s a work. It’s a work in progress.” She added, “We are one. If you are a part of something, you will want to hold on to your half of it. And you would want to do your part in making that whole work. I do my bit and he does his.”
