The former Miss World and Bachchan bahu, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan too belong to this list as if we take a closer look at her little one, we can easily decipher that she is the mini-me of her gorgeous mother. It was on November 16, 2011, when Aishwarya had embraced motherhood with the arrival of a little angel in her life and since then, her life has been revolving around her daughter. Whether it is walking the Cannes red carpet, accompanying her to events, attending family weddings, hoisting the Indian flag at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2017, or paying her respects during Durga Puja, Diwali and other festivals; Aishwarya’s constant companion in her journey is her nine-year-old daughter, Aaradhya.
Despite her chock-a-block schedule, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, just like any other mother, loves to drop-pick her daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan from school and juggles between her personal and professional commitments like how! Scrolling through social media, we found two rare throwback pictures of Aishwarya, from her childhood days. A closer look at the pictures will make you wonder if it’s actually Aishwarya or Aaradhya. Such is the uncanny resemblance between the mother and her daughter. One of the pictures of Aishwarya looks from a birthday bash of her friend and in both the photographs, she can be seen looking like a vision in white!
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had given birth to Aaradhya Bachchan at Seven Hills Hospital in Andheri on November 16, 2011. Announcing the arrival of their little angel, the super-excited grandfather, Amitabh Bachchan had tweeted, "I am Dada to the cutest baby girl." Even the elated daddy, Abhishek Bachchan had posted on Twitter, "Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes. Both Aishwarya and the baby are doing great and taking some much-needed rest. As per a Hindustan Times report, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had commented to keeping her daughter’s name Aaradhya Bachchan and its meaning. She was quoted as saying, “Aaradhya means ‘one who is worthy of worship’. It was a name both Abhishek and I had always considered, but we threw it open to our extended family.” On how her daughter perceives media attention, Aishwarya had stated, “What is really assuring is that she has incredible resilience, by God’s grace. She has seen this (public attention) from infancy. When faced with crowds she becomes very silent and observant, as though taking it all in.”
When Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was pregnant with Aaradhya Bachchan, she had worked and flaunted her baby bump in a most beautiful way. Speaking of her journey of balancing work and pregnancy and breaking the stereotype, Aishwarya had stated in a Filmfare interview, “I have always been in the front line. Like, bring it on. For every phase. I have been in the front line of the army to take all the bullets and then it was a cakewalk for everybody else. I have done that in so many things. It was a good time. And sometimes you kind of feel good about yourself, that we did it, we have made the change but I think it's also that I was fortunate and it all works itself out. It's about you knowing that how prioritising makes you find your own balance and you gotta feel so good that you can do good with whatever you have taken on. I am a deep believer of that and I think that exudes, that translates.”
In an interview with the Mid-Day, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had revealed how she manages some mother-daughter time with Aaradhya Bachchan and had remarked, “Walking the streets here is not possible and whatever two-three parks I could go to with her, I did. I have just snuck into little pockets in and around Mumbai to give her a taste of that side, too. If I spotted a slide on the way and not many people were around, I have taken Aaradhya there. Thankfully, the media had no clue about it. Abroad, this isn’t a problem at all, so things like these are easier.” How she sees mini-me in Aaradhya, Aishwarya had continued, “I can see a mini-me in Aaradhya. I go every day with her to school to drop and pick her up. I do it because I like to do it. I enjoy the time that we spend together. I’m blissed out and that’s the contentment that everyone gets to see. I’m glad about the choices I’ve made with regards to her. I’ll continue being protective, but I’ll still keep on trying to make everything normal.” (Also Read: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's Childhood Pictures Prove That Aaradhya Bachchan Is A Spitting Image Of Her)
