Adhyayan Suman On Accusing Ex Kangana Ranaut Of Doing Black Magic, Says 'Never Created A Hullabaloo'

In a recent interview, Adhyayan Suman revealed why he spoke about his troubled relationship with Kangana Ranaut back in 2017 and said that he doesn't regret it.

Shekhar Suman's son, Adhyayan S Suman made his Bollywood debut with the romantic drama, Haal-e-Dil, back in 2008. Later on, he went on to work in films like Raaz – The Mystery Continues and Jashnn. However, more than his professional life, the actor remained under the spotlight for his relationship with actress, Kangana Ranaut. Reportedly, the duo had met on the sets of their film, Raaz, and dated each other for a few months. Later, they parted ways in 2009.

Adhyayan Suman reveals having no regrets for talking about his relationship publicly

For the unversed, back in 2017, Adhyayan Suman had talked about his relationship with Kangana Ranaut in public and called it ‘toxic’. Not only this, he also alleged that he was physically and mentally abused by the actress and accused her of performing black magic. Now, in an interview with News18 Showsha, Adhyayan revealed that he has no regrets for talking about his and Kangana's relationship publicly and added that he never created a hullabaloo saying that things happened with him. In his words:

“I don’t regret speaking about my relationship. I spoke about it like any human being would. I spoke about it at a point when people didn’t know about my side of the story. If you recall, there were no press conferences arranged. I never created a hullabaloo saying that things happened with me. It was just once that I spoke out of respect for that person and more importantly, for myself.”

The actor further mentioned that it was necessary for everyone to know about both sides of the story. He added that he just wanted to tell people how he was impacted by the relationship and end the speculations once and for all. Sharing there were many opinions and judgments passed about him, Adhyayan said:

“We’ve to understand that every coin has two sides. People knew the other side of it. I wanted to speak up just once and not discuss it any further. When you’re in the public domain, there are so many opinions and judgments passed about you that sometimes it’s important to clear things out.”

Adhyayan Suman reveals he's not hungry for publicity

However, when Adhyayan was asked if he was apprehensive of the criticism and judgements affecting his career in showbiz, the actor said that he was not publicity hungry. He further shared that in Bollywood actors don’t get work because of their affairs but because of their talent. Recalling how people who judged him back then later came back and apologised to him, Adhyayan said:

“If I was publicity hungry, I would’ve spoken about it back in 2009 when I had the relationship and not in 2017. What difference does it make to my career? You don’t get work because of your affairs but because of your talent. People judged me back then but then they came back and apologised to me after I spoke about my side of the story. I faced backlash but I don’t regret it at all.”

Adhyayan Suman shared how speaking the truth cost him 

However, the Aashram actor also recalled how he was judged back then and was also taken off projects at the last minute. Speaking about the same, the actor said that there were situations when people didn’t answer his phone calls and called it heart-breaking. Adhyayan concluded:

“I’ve been through situations where people didn’t answer my phone call and I’ve been taken off press conferences and removed from promotions and posters even after I deserved it and my performance was appreciated. It’s very tough and heart-breaking. But this is what I’ve chosen for myself. I need to fight for these things because I don’t have an option.”
