Television actress, Arti Singh, best known for her stints in Hindi serials like Thoda Hai Bas Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai, Parichay, and Waaris, is all set to tie the knot with Dipak Chauhan, on April 25, 2024. The wedding will take place at ISKCON temple. Her brother, Krushna Abhishek and sister-in-law, Kashmera Shah are doing everything to make Arti’s big day extra special. Ahead of her wedding, Arti’s ‘bhabhi’, Kashmera opened up about inviting their ‘Chi Chi mama’, Govinda, to the wedding.
Speaking with Pinkvilla, Kashmera mentioned that they are looking forward to welcoming the Bollywood superstar at Arti’s wedding. She further added that they would respectfully do so and she would even touch Govinda’s feet as he is like her father-in-law. Kashmera said that their uncle might have a problem with her and her husband, Krushna, but Arti has nothing to do with their matter. In her words:
“Well, we are looking forward to welcoming him at the wedding. We will very respectfully do so. As the tradition goes, I will touch his feet. After all, he is at my father-in-law's place and I would pay him my respects. He might have a problem with Krushna and me but Arti has nothing to do with the same and thus we feel he would attend her wedding.”

However, it is worth noting that neither Govinda nor anyone from his family has been seen in the pre-wedding festivities of Arti that have happened to date. For those who don’t know, almost seven years ago, Krushna and Kashmera had a fallout with Govinda and his family. It all started when the actor graced The Kapil Sharma Show to promote his film, Jagga Jasoos and skipped appearing on Krushna’s show, Comedy Nights Live.
The latter expressed his disappointment over it in the media and then Govinda opened up about the same and had said that he was upset because his nephew had said ‘Mama rakha hai’ in his show. To add fuel to the fire, Kashmera had tweeted and referred to Govinda and his wife, Sunita, as ‘people who dance for money’ in a social media post.

Further, while talking to Pinkvilla, Kashmera said that Arti’s wedding is an emotional moment for them. She revealed that they all got emotional during Arti’s haldi and added that it feels beautiful to see her getting married to a decent guy. Sharing how Arti would be going away after marriage, Kashmera said:
"It is surely an emotional moment for us. The other day, we all got so emotional, even during Haldi rituals, we were teary-eyed. I have known Arti for almost eighteen years and it feels so beautiful to see her get married to such a decent guy. However, it is also emotional as she's now going away and will be somebody's wife.”
Previously, while speaking about her wedding to Pinkvilla, Arti opened up about her mama, Govinda. She shared that the actor was very happy seeing her happy and that she knew that Govinda would come to her wedding to give his blessings to the newlyweds. In her words:
“This wedding is going to be full of love because the entire family will come under one roof. They all will be there to bless me. Govinda mama, is very happy seeing me happy. It makes me very happy. I just know that he’s (Govinda) coming to give his blessings to me and I’m very happy about it. He was very happy. He’s my Chi Chi mama he was very happy.”
