Coming back to Farhan and Adhuna's relationship, the duo is happily co-parenting their daughters, Shakya and Akira. They share equal responsibilities and value their kids above all. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Farhan had revealed how he had shared the news of his divorce with his kids. The actor had admitted that nothing is easy, especially when you tell your children things they doesn't want to hear. He was quoted as saying, "Nothing is easy. Anything you tell your child which you think your child doesn't want to hear is never going to be easy. The thing that your child expects you and by you doing it, you will realise that this is what you expect from them. If you can be honest with your child, they are not dumb or stupid. They understand way more than you and I can imagine. They have a sense of energy on how their parents are feeling. As long as you don't lie to them and you feel 'it's okay, I have told them, they can now do whatever', things will come around. Eventually, a child will understand why you have done what you have done. Maybe not at the moment, but you just have to be honest with them and in turn, they will be honest with you."
For those who don't know, Farhan Akhtar is in a relationship with model-turned-actress, Shibani Dandekar. In an interview with the Mid-Day, his girlfriend, Shibani had talked about her relationship and had said, “I am not secretive, but I don't feel the need to say things out loud. I don't need to make an announcement about who I'm dating. It's up to me to decide when and what I want to share about my personal life and it is up to the audience to decide how they look at it.
