Adaa Khan has been a prominent face in Indian Television for a long time now. She began her acting career as a model and thereafter bagged her first break with the show, Palampur Express. However, it was her impeccable acting stint in the show, Amrit Manthan which made her a household name. Thereafter, she appeared in Ekta Kapoor’s fantasy-thriller serial, Naagin which built her unparalleled stardom. Unfortunately, when it comes to her personal life, she has been absolutely unlucky in finding true love. Moreover, things turned even more upsetting when her trust in love was shattered by the same person thrice. Well then, let us take a look at her love life.
Adaa Khan fell in love with her Sapne Suhaane Ladakpan Ke co-star, Ankit Gera at a young age in her life. Apart from working together during the shooting time of the serial on set, they started to meet off-screen and formed a close friendship with one another. Love blossomed gradually and they began dating one another.

Speaking about Adaa’s relationship with Ankit, she was absolutely in love with him and was committed to their relationship. Moreover, she was very much serious about their relationship and was even planning to settle down with Ankit. Sadly, on the other hand, Ankit always treated their bonding as nothing more than a random fling and was on the contrary totally dedicated to his work.
While everything seemed to go smoothly between the couple, Adaa was shattered to learn that Ankit, all this time, had been double dating and cheating on her with his show’s second lead, Roopal Tyagi. The reality was enough to break the deal for both of the actresses, and especially, Roopal, who too was unaware about Ankit’s affection for Adaa. Therefore, both Adaa and Roopal broke up and moved on.
Well, this was not the first time that Adaa had been cheated on by Ankit. While the actress chose to keep mum about it for the longest time, it was once in an interview with Rajeev Khandelwal where the actress opened up on that low phase of her life. She revealed that in a span of six years where she had given everything to the relationship, she was shocked by the hard truth of being cheated on thrice. In her words:
“Jab aap 4 saal dete ho aapke relationship mein and woh isnaan aapko dhoka de, phir aap usko moka do and phir woh wahi kare … It was like a relationship for six years. Ek relationship mein har insaan kaafi kuch invest karta hai, maine bhi ofcourse kiya, but ab mujhe pyaar nahin chahiye. I am very happy and content.”

Well, in the same interview, Adaa also recalled another painful side to that phase in her life. She revealed how she suffered double heartbreak as it was not a breakup, but her mother also passed away during the same time. Opening up on having suicidal thoughts back then, due to the absence of someone supportive, she mentioned:
“I had lost my mom. When you needed someone, jab aapko sabse zyaada uss shaks ki zaroorat hoti hai, tab ye incident hua and I got to know esa horaha hai. I was broken., I was shattered. Main ghar se nahin nikal rahi thi. Mujhe kuch samajh me nahin aa raha tha k mein kya karu, because when your mother is your world and the person you love is your other world ... kehte hai na dono duniya aapse judaa hogayi. I was getting suicidal thoughts ... Mom ka jaana bhi ussi time pe hua tha so situation mere liye thodi zyaada tough ho gayi. Meri mom meri backbone thi.”
After their breakup, Ankit was quite an early one to move on in his life. The actor settled down in life and got married to an Nigeria-based NRI, Rashi Puri. The duo tied the knot on June 5, 2021. His match with Rashi was one arranged by their families. In 2022, the couple welcomed a baby boy in their lives. In an interview right after his wedding, Ankit revealed the story behind the same and mentioned:
“It’s an arranged marriage. We are family friends. Our parents were looking for suitable partners for us and that’s when they suggested that we should talk. We started talking in April and soon developed a liking for each other. She flew down to India around three weeks ago before the wedding to meet me. Even though it was a short span, we got to know each other better and decided to take the plunge.”
Shortly after her tragic breakup, Adaa was speculated to be dating Balika Vadhu fame actor, Shashank Vyas. The duo were often spotted spending a lot of time with one another. Moreover, their pictures sparked off an altogether different angle about their chemistry, that led their fans to make their own guesses. The duo also worked together on a short film, which spoke volumes about their fondness for each other. But while Adaa has mostly kept mum on revealing more about the nature of her relationship with Shashank, the latter once opened up about the same. In his words:
“There are very few people in the Industry whom I consider as my good and real friend and Adaa is definitely one of them. Due to our daily hectic schedules, we hardly meet and whenever we get opportunities like this, we utilize it to the fullest. Adaa and I have many things to talk about. Unfortunately, we both have lost our respective mothers, so somewhere down the line, we connect on a deeper level.”
