Abhishek Bachchan is one of the most talented actors in Bollywood. Following in the footsteps of his parents and eminent actors, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek made his debut in the year 2000, with the film, Refugee. Fast forward to now, the actor has been a part of a plethora of films, and received innumerable awards, which has simply established him leagues apart from the rest. And in a recent interaction, the actor opened up about an unheard facet of his life.
In an interaction with Galatta Plus, Abhishek Bachchan opened up on an unheard facet of his life. Recalling the initial years of his career, the actor mentioned that he was initially set on writing the script for a film, which could’ve been his debut film. Abhishek revealed that he, along with filmmaker, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, decided to make a script for a film called, Samjhauta Express. Elaborating more, he said:
“I was sitting with my friend Rakeysh Mehra and I said, yaar, it has been two years and I can’t get a film and I am getting really demoralised. He said, I also want to direct a film but they all want me to direct ads. So I said, I’ll act for you. He said, yeah, I’ll direct you. We wrote a script called Samjhauta Express.”

Moving further in the conversation, Abhishek Bachchan recalled how he and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra went to the former’s father, Amitabh Bachchan, in order to narrate him the script. Abhishek then remarked how narrating a script to his father is a scary prospect, as Big B doesn’t really react during the entire process. Thereafter, sharing Amitabh’s straight up reaction to the entire script, Abhishek said:
“Anybody who has narrated a film to my father knows it is a scary thing because he doesn’t react. He just sits there quietly and listens. So we were prepared for that. I remember we narrated the whole script and there was silence afterwards. After a long silence, he looked at us and said, boys, bahut hi bakwaas script hai. We got really demoralised.”
Despite being an actor himself, Abhishek Bachchan perceives his parents, Amitabh and Jaya as actors themselves. Speaking along the same lines, in a previous interaction with Mid-Day, Abhishek Bachchan opened up about his mother, Jaya Bachchan. He mentioned that he can never visualise his mother as an actress, since he is quite emotional about her. As a result, he is never able to judge her performances on-screen.

Amitabh Bachchan even at the age of 81, has been mesmerising everyone with his unbeatable energy while hosting the show, Kaun Banega Crorepati. During a previous episode of the same, the senior actor shared an amusing yet precious anecdote concerning his kids, Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan. Sharing his disapproval of letting his children perform skydiving, he said:
“I am also a father and when my kids Abhishek and Shweta came to me for the same, I didn’t allow them. It is so scary and risky. They tell me there is training and safety precautions. Parachute na khule toh? Jaan bhuj kar risk thodi na lena hai.”
