However, nowadays, husbands are also keeping fast with their wives. And the recent one to join 'the fasting husband tribe' is none other than Bollywood actor, Abhishek Bachchan. Abhishek and Aishwarya tied the knot in a close-knit wedding in Mumbai on April 20, 2007. We all know that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan keeps Karwa Chauth fast for her hubby, Abhishek Bachchan ever year, but not many know that Abhishek also keeps fast with Aishwarya. On Karwa Chauth 2018, the actor had shared a note for all the husbands and wives keeping a fast.
Recently, in an interview with KoiMoi, Abhishek talked about keeping a fast and shared how the day went. He said, "We were both busy working the whole day and then in the evening, the ladies do their pooja. In the night they wait for the chand (moon) and do the pooja and break the fast. It was just that – a nice quiet family affair." Inayat Verma, Abhishek’s co-star in Ludo, also shared an interesting anecdote from the day. He said, "Abhishek bhaiya ne mujhe bataya tha ki unhone fast rakha tha toh woh sargi karna bhul gaye the subah uthke. Toh unhone kuch bhi nahi khaya tha."
For those who don't know, Abhishek and Aishwarya never leave any chance of showing their love for each other. We had come across a throwback video from an event, wherein Aishwarya could be seen flirting with her 'Mister Right' Abhishek. We love how the gorgeous actress had made everyone root for the couple's sizzling chemistry. In the video, we could see Aishwarya in her candid best as she was flirting with her hubby and had said, "Well, he makes me look good. So, thank you." This brought a shy smile on Abhishek's face and Aishwarya had further added, "And tonight, I'm definitely channelling purple." There are not many people, who know that Abhishek wanted two kids with his 'darling wife'. In an interview with the GQ magazine, Abhishek had opened up on family planning and had expressed his wish of having two kids. He had also shared the idea behind it and had said, "I mean, I have me and my sister, so maybe that's where it comes from."
Coming back to Abhishek and Aishwarya's love story, the duo were best of friends and later, their friendship had turned into a beautiful union. In an interview with India Today, Abhishek had revealed his love story and had said, "I was working with Aishwarya during the start of my career. Our first film together was Dhai Akshar Prem Ke in 2000 and we were friends since then. Simultaneously, we signed another film together called Kuch Na Kaho. We always had a close friendship and in time, it evolved into something more than that."
