Bollywood's golden couple, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan celebrate 14 years of marital bliss today, i.e., April 20, 2021. Back in 2007, when the couple had tied the knot in a grand ceremony, people had speculated that their marriage won't last long, given the 'too good to be true' combination. Proving everyone wrong, the couple is going strong since fourteen years.

After their wedding, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan had made their first television appearance on talk show legend, Oprah Winfrey’s show. Oprah Winfrey asked a burning question from Aishwarya during their candid conversation, that why she has never kissed her husband, Abhishek on screen. Abhishek's graceful answer had won everyone's hearts. Scroll to know!
On hearing the question, Aishwarya leaned towards Abhishek and said, "Go on baby", and Abhishek gave her a peck on the cheek. Answering the question, Abhishek said, "Not a lot of it happens as openly as in the West. It is not a thing about being accepted or not, it is not required. I don't think the Indian audience feels it is required. To put it this way I think, if we make up a scene, for example, the boy meets a girl, they fall in love, they want to express their love for each other in the west they will kiss and there they are in love. In India, we break into a song. Isn't that more interesting? You have this intimate moment and then suddenly snap cut, you are in the mountains and you are singing and dancing. It's a lot more interesting, I'd much rather that." Aishwarya also added, "We have a song. Immediately, We've so much fun."
Last year, in a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Abhishek Bachchan had shared how his definition of success changed during the lockdown because of his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Recalling a conversation with his wife, Aishwarya, he had said, “The lockdown has taught everybody is that our definition of success also changes a lot. We are so busy chasing material things that we forget what’s really important. Some people ask, ‘Oh what did you do during the lockdown? What have you learned?’ Some people have learned to cook, some have picked up a new hobby, language, new skill set. I feel very overwhelmed and I was speaking to my wife about it.”

Abhishek had also revealed how Aishwarya had helped him bring focus in his life as she had taught him that the most valuable thing one has done during the lockdown is to be with one's family. He had said, “And as all wives do, they put your lives into focus, they put you back on track. She said yeah but put it this way, ‘For the first time in your life you got to spend the entire year with your family. And your family is safe and healthy today’. And it’s so true. We get to do what we love and go back to a healthy and happy family. That’s successful. It doesn’t matter if you are living in a mansion or a hut. As long as you can smile or put a smile on the face of your loved ones what else matters?”
A day before their wedding, Aishwarya and Abhishek had created a memory of a lifetime. The lifecasting artist, Bhavna Jasra had shared a glimpse of the same. On Aishwarya’s birthday, Bhavna had posted two pictures with Aishwarya and had captioned them as “From meeting you a day before your wedding for casting your couple clasp with Abhishek to seeing you as mother of Aaradhya when we made her masterpiece for her 1st birthday, I am happy that I helped freeze those happy memories for you. Happy Birthday my gorgeous girl @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb Wishing you loads of happiness always.”
