Aamir Khan’s daughter, Ira Khan is all set to tie the knot with her fiance, Nupur Shikhare on January 3, 2024. For the unversed, the duo met during the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020 when Ira moved into her father’s house. Nupur, being a fitness trainer by profession, helped Ira with fitness initially, but soon, love blossomed between them over some deep conversations. Finally, Ira and Nupur got engaged in 2022 amidst their family and close friends.
As Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare's pre-wedding festivities have kicked off recently, we got some new details on their upcoming wedding. As per a report by News18 Showsha, a source close to the Khan family revealed that Ira and Nupur will get married at the Taj Lands End Hotel in Bandra and they will host two receptions later. The source said:
“The Khan family is elated as they’re going to start the new year with a bang. Ira and Nupur will get married on January 3 at Bandra’s plush Taj Lands End hotel. Following that, there will be two reception parties that will take place – one in Delhi and the other in Jaipur – between January 6 and 10.”

The source further added that Aamir Khan is very excited to get his daughter, Ira married and has sent personal invites to his friends and peers in B-Town, requesting them to grace the wedding and bless the couple. The source added:
“Most actors aren’t in town due to the holiday season. But be assured that it’s going to be a star-studded affair. Those who won’t be able to make it to their big day will be a part of the reception in Jaipur.”
Moreover, the report further added that Ira and Nupur will have a Maharashtrian wedding in order to honour the latter's roots. It was also revealed that most of the jewellery shopping was done from a popular store in Matunga, which is known for its traditional pieces and designs. Talking about the food menu at the lovebirds' grand wedding, it will boast of an eclectic spread.

Earlier, we stumbled upon a glimpse of Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare’s wedding invite, which surfaced on the internet. However, it is not clear whether the card was the official invite from the couple or not. Set in a black and gold theme, the card had the initials of Ira and Nupur written in a simple yet sophisticated logo at the top. The date of their nuptials was written as January 13, 2024. The message on the card read:
“It gives us great pleasure to invite you to celebrate the marriage of our children Ira & Nupur. Please join us to bless the couple. 13th January Saturday. Love Pritam, Reena and Aamir. Blessings only.”
Earlier, in an interview with News18 India, Aamir Khan confirmed the date of his daughter, Ira Khan's wedding and revealed that she will marry her boyfriend, Nupur Shikhare, on January 3, 2024. The actor also praised his soon-to-be son-in-law and called him a lovely boy. When asked if he would cry at his daughter, Ira's wedding, Aamir shared that he is going to be very emotional and revealed how his family is already mentally preparing for the same. Sharing details about the same, the loving father said:
“Main toh bada emotional hota hoon bhai, uss din main bahut rone waala hoon yeh toh tay hai. Discussions have already begun in the family that ‘Aamir ko sambaalna uss din’ because I am very emotional. I can’t control my smile nor my tears.”
