Aaliyah Kashyap is the daughter of Anurag Kashyap and first wife, Aarti Bajaj. Aaliyah's parents were officially separated in the year 2009. Anurag and Aarti had tied the knot in 2003, but their relationship had fallen apart after four years of marital bliss. They had separated in 2007 and were granted a divorce in 2009. Recently, Aaliyah Kashyap spilt beans about her personal life, relationship, and boyfriend, Shane Gregoire in a video on her YouTube channel. She posted a new video on her YouTube channel, in which she answered her fans' questions. For the uninitiated, Aaliyah is studying in the United States. Aaliyah Kashyap spoke about how she makes her relationship with her boyfriend, Shane, work. Talking about how she deals with relationship issues with Shane, she said, "Shane and I don’t really argue or anything. If something does come up, we just talk about it. Like, we have a conversation about it and then move on. I think that is the best way to deal with disagreements in a relationship, just to communicate, instead of fighting, screaming and arguing with each other."
Talking further about their relationship, she added, "We don't really have any issues. The only relationship issue we have is long distance. Before we met, he used to travel a lot, he used to live in different places for weeks and months at a stretch. He's recently started doing that again. He's currently in Mexico and he came to meet me for Valentine's Day for a week, and he just left again. He's gone for another two weeks, then he'll come back for a few days. But we talk and we make it work, by communicating."
On January 9, 2021, Aaliyah Kashyap turned 20, and her boyfriend, Shane Gregoire had wished his ‘Indian queen’ with an array of pictures and had written, “Happy Birthday to my indian queen @aaliyahkashyap. Thank you for adding even more color to my life and being as weird as I am. Love you big girl… you are a very special person and I can’t wait to see what you do next. #cakemurder.” Aaliyah's father, Anurag Kashyap had also wished her in the most adorable manner. He had shared an adorable picture with Aaliyah, clung to her daddy. On December 23, 2020, Aaliyah Kashyap had taken to her Instagram stories and had shared a steamy lip-lock picture with her boyfriend, Shane Gregoire as they were all set to celebrate Christmas. In the picture, the couple had twinned in the shades of yellow and had looked like a match made-in-heaven. The beautifully decorated Christmas tree in the backdrop had made Aaliyah and Shane's romantic lip-lock moment even more beautiful.
Once Anurag Kashyap was asked, in an interview with NDTV, about his reaction if his daughter, Aaliyah Kashyap expresses her wish to join the industry. Anurag had said, “She’s an adult, she has to choose, but definitely she has to learn. She can’t wake up one day and say ‘I want to be an actor'. If she wants to do it, she has to struggle for it and go and audition for it and win a role somewhere. I don’t think I write movies which are so urban where she will fit in.
