A differently-abled couple defied all the societal norms that love and getting married for them is impossible. Meet our couple of the week, whose wedding story is not less than a film's tale. We all will agree that every girl has a dream of finding the right man. We all want to experience filmon wala pyaar, which sweeps us off our feet. And the moment we tie the knot with our mister right, our entire world changes for the better.
While some are lucky enough to find their prince charming, some believe that they can never find one because of many reasons. And that's what our bride of the week, Payal Thawani had thought, but she had found her 'mister', who changed her entire belief that love is not for her. The gorgeousness not only found her right man but also tied the knot with him.
Recently, in an interview with Humans Of Bombay, Payal opened up on her love story. Payal revealed how he had met her dream man and shared, "Whenever Maa spoke about marriage, I’d dismiss her. For someone as low on confidence as me, it was the last thing on my mind. I’d tell her, ‘Mujhse kaun shaadi karega?’ She’d reply, ‘Dekhna, rajkumar aayega!’ I’d just laugh. Around then, my brother told me about an app for differently-abled people; I downloaded it & matched it with Kapil! Kapil had dwarfism too, but he was so confident!"
Payal further added how Kapil made a huge impact in her usual life and how he had motivated her to stay fit. She shared, "He told me about how he lost 20 kgs & motivated me to be fit. He spoke with such conviction & made you believe in yourself! We’d never met, since he was in Indore & I was in Rajasthan, but my family loved him. Maa even suggested I marry him. But I’d finally met someone I could confide in, I didn’t want to lose that. A year went by; I became more confident, all thanks to Kapil. Then one day, he sent me a photo–my neighbour was at his house in Indore. When I sounded confused, he said, ‘Apna rishta pakka kar raha hun.’ My neighbour & he’d attended the same wedding, so she spoke to him about me!"
Just like every girl, Payal was also unsure whether it is love or what, and that's when Kapil had proposed to her in a full filmy way. Payal revealed the big proposal, "Then he asked me, ‘Do you want to get married?’ I didn’t know what to say. So Kapil added, ‘I like you. Take as much time as you need!’ I wanted to be sure, so I took my time. After 15 days, me & my family went to see him in Indore. It was the first time we met! Our roka happened that day; when I saw Kapil smiling at me with love in his eyes, I knew I’d made the right decision. A few months later, Kapil came to Rajasthan to meet me. That’s when I fell in love; he kept helping me with my bag & complimenting my hair."
After 11-months of staying in a long-distance relationship, Kapil and Priya tied the knot in a big ceremony. The bride danced her heart out on the big day of her life. She shared, "And after 11 months of long-distance, it was our wedding day! I went from never thinking I’d get married to being the most excited bride. I danced like no one was watching! And walking down the aisle watching Kapil give me the brightest smile was surreal!"
Payal also shared how married life has been treating her and said, "It’s been 3 months since & with each day, I feel like I’m growing as an individual. I make videos of my dances & post them on social media! And all of this is because of Kapil’s faith in me. I’m so glad that in him I’ve found a motivator, a confidante & the best chef–he makes the best pizzas! So, whenever we fight, I know what I’m having for dinner that night! Humari height thodi choti hai, par pyaar humara poora hai!”
Well, Payal's love story proved that age, weight, height, is just a number when you fall in love. And for every girl there is a right man, all we need to do is just wait and get ready for him. What do you think?
