Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan's divorce had shaken their families, but their bond still remains strong. Zayed Khan opened up about his sister's separation.
Sussanne Khan and Hrithik Roshan's separation after two children and years together had left many in shock, especially those close to him. However, despite years after separation, the two keep their relationship intact and are happily co-parenting their kids. Over the years, the two families also stood with each other in the ups and downs of each other's lives.
In an interview with Zoom, Zayed Khan talked about his sister, Sussanne Khan and Hrithik Roshan's divorce. The actor who shares a close bond with his siter revealed that it was better that it ended as it wasn't meant to be. He further emphasised the fact that they had put their best efforts to save it, but it wasn't just happening. Zayed added that if they had not parted ways, then things would have gone worse. He was quoted as saying:
"It wasn’t meant to be. If you keep holding on to something that is not working, it only gets worse."
When the host pointed out how the ex-couple shares a cordial bond with their current partners even after separation, it is commendable. Zayed added that he is extremely fond of Hrithik Roshan's girlfriend, Saba. On the other hand, his sister, Sussanne's current partner, Arslaan, is like a younger brother to him.
Sanjay Khan, who is extremely fond of Hrithik Roshan, penned a heartfelt note for him on his birthday last year. He recalled his first meeting with the superstar and how he went on to become his daughter's husband. Sanjay Khan shared that he first met Hrithik Roshan through his son, Zayed Khan. He wrote:
"I first met Hrithik Roshan as a teenager, introduced through Zayed. Back then, I needed a new bicycle for my morning rides and casually mentioned it to Zayed. With a grin, he replied, “Hrithik’s your guy for advice on that.” True to his word, Hrithik visited one morning, diving into details about the latest models—like the trendy three-speed gear systems."
Sanjay Khan further added that Hrithik's explanation impressed him. However, he never thought that he would one day become his daughter's husband and join their family. He talked about Hrithik Roshan's success and how fame knocked on his door since his debut film. He talked about how disciplined he has been from a young age, and how he would always seek his thoughts about his film and listen with those absorbing eyes.
Sanjay Khan further mentioned that Sussanne and Hrithik had brought him joy through their two grandchildren. Further, Sanjay Khan talked about Hrithik and Sussanne's divorce. He stated that they were never bitter about each other and ended their marriage gracefully. He concluded the note by writing:
"From Sussanne come my joys, grandsons Hrehaan and Hridhaan—handsome, wonderful boys raised with her signature integrity. Their separation was graceful, never bitter. I proudly joke to friends that she’s gifted Hrithik “two aces of spades.”On January 10th, as millions celebrate, I wish Hrithik a birthday brimming with health, peace, joy, and prosperity. Happy Birthday, Hrithik. I love you, son."
Hrithik Roshan was earlier married to Sussanne Khan. But they parted ways after a long and fulfilling marriage. The reason for their separation is not made public, but the two remain close friends as they continue to co-parent their two sons, Hrehaan and Hrihdaan. While Sussanne Khan found love in Arslaan Goni, Hrithik Roshan has found solace in Saba Azad. The two couples share a warm relationship, and they are often seen together partying and vacationing.
