Both Bryce Harper and his wife, Kayla Harper, are natives of Henderson, Nevada. If reports are to be believed, they were high school sweethearts, with Bryce attending Las Vegas High School and Kayla attending Green Valley High School. It is worth noting that although Bryce was already being recognised as the “LeBron James of baseball” when he was still a freshman, what attracted Kayla to him was that he is the most selfless guy ever. During a conversation with The Knot, Kayla revealed that Bryce is also super goofy and while the pranks he plays on her end up annoying her, she secretly loves it.

Similar to her then-boyfriend and now-husband, Bryce Harper, Kayla was also a decorated athlete during her high school and college years. To mention, she was the team MVP from 2009 to 2011 while attending Green Valley High School. Not only this, reports suggest that Kayla held the Nevada state record for career assists by the time she graduated high school in 2011. At the time, was a national All-American and had led her team to a state championship title.

While Bryce and Kayla were set to tie the knot in January 2015, fans were left confused when their wedding never happened. Soon it became evident that they had broken up when they unfollowed each other on X (formerly Twitter) and even removed mentions of the other from their respective Instagram bios. Thankfully, their split did not last for long, and they reconciled by the end of 2015. Bryce and Kayla announced their engagement for the second time in July 2016. Sharing a photo of them attending the 2016 ESPY Awards, where Kayla can be seen sporting her engagement ring, she wrote on her Instagram:

“ESPYS last night with my love. So proud of you, B! Oh, and we're engaged…Again #The Sequel.”

They kept their wedding ceremony private, with only their immediate family present, and held it at the San Diego Church of Latter-day Saints Temple. Later, Kayla and Bryce held a grand reception with nearly 270 guests at San Diego's Polo Fields. Interestingly, this was the same place that Kayla used to play soccer as a child.
