Christopher Aaron Nicks' daughter, Nixi Parkinson Nicks, announced it on her Instagram handle. Stevie's younger brother has battled cancer for the past two years. Nixi did not disclose the type of cancer her father fought. She shared a heartbreaking note, holding her dad's hand, and wrote, "Second star to the right, and straight on till morning. I love you, daddy. Rest easy."
Nixi, in a now-expired Instagram Stories note, had shared details related to her dad's demise. For the unversed, Christopher and his ex-wife, Lori Perry-Nicks, have a daughter named Nixi. In her heart-wrenching note, the daughter mentioned how her father has battled cancer for the past 2.5 years, and this may be a shock to his fans. The heartbreaking note then read:
"If this is news to you, please know it was because he never wanted people to worry about him that he kept this to himself. It is with a broken heart that I announce the passing of my father, Christopher Aaron Nicks, early this morning, surrounded by family."
In her note, Nixi further mentioned that her beloved father, Christopher Aaron Nicks, had left a mark on the lives of so many people. She did share that for him, his friends meant the world and wrote:
"I know that he has left his mark on so many people, and this will leave many more than his immediate family with a piece of them missing. I know I speak for my dad when I say that his friends, his lost boys, meant the world to him.”
At one end, Stevie Nicks became one of the most famous voices in the rock music industry. On the flip side, the singer's younger brother, Christopher, preferred to stay away from the limelight. He maintained a very close relationship with Stevie and was seen in many professional music projects with her.
Speaking more about Stevie's brother, Christopher was born reportedly on December 18, 1953. He was five years younger than Stevie, who was born back in 1948. He was born to Jess Nicks and Barbara Nicks. Stevie and Christopher had spent their childhood moving across the American Southwest due to their dad's corporate career.
Christopher was raised in a family where music was one of the most important parts of life. Their grandfather, Aaron Nicks, was a musician who encouraged Stevie's musical interests from a very early age. Stevie became a global star after joining Fleetwood Mac with Lindsey Buckingham in 1975.
Stevie has not yet addressed the information in the media related to her brother's death. However, her Fleetwood Mac bandmate, Mick Fleetwood, had posted a tribute to Christopher by sharing a picture on social media. It read:
