The actress' dating buzz with the businessman began soon after her cozy pictures with him went viral. The source shared that the couple is having fun and that they were set up by their mutual friends. According to the same source, the actress has gone on several dates with other people as well. Nicole is in a happier place and doing really well. She is 'optimistic' about the next chapter, while her daughters see her as their role model. The source could be quoted as saying:
"Nicole is dating again after her divorce from Keith and has been seeing businessman Michael Reinstein. It is casual, and she is having fun. They were set up by mutual friends. She has also been on several dates with other people, and her friends are always trying to set her up."
Speaking of her relationship with her ex-husband, Keith Urban, the source revealed that the 'dust has been settled'. The duo has respect for each other, no matter what went wrong between them. The recent report by Us Weekly also suggested that Nicole got a lot of support from her friends, Reese Witherspoon and Sandra Bullock, with the latter filming Practical Magic 2 with Kidman. In the movie, Kidman reprised her role as Sandra's on-screen sister.
The reason for Keith and Nicole's divorce hadn't been revealed publicly; however, in October 2025, sources revealed to Us Weekly that Keith had moved on and was open about where he stood with Nicole. It was back in August 2026, when a video of Keith Urban made the rounds on social media, which featured him tearing up while introducing his new song, We Go Back. The song's core meaning reflected the pain of watching an ex move on with someone new. Keith never actually opened up about his divorce from Nicole, while she, back in March 2026, talked about the same. Speaking to Variety, she said:
"I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good. What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that. Everything else I don’t discuss out of respect.
