While she had doubts about Ethan having an affair for some time, she revealed that she was made to question her own intuition. Amid this, Twitch streamer Hasan Piker mocked Ethan through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter). This has led many to wonder what led to Hasan and Ethan's fallout, even though they previously co-hosted Leftovers together.
What happened between Ethan Klein and Hasan Piker?
Ethan Klein and Hasan Piker were co-hosts of a political commentary podcast named Leftovers, which they launched back in 2021. While things seemed to be going smoothly at first, their relationship soon turned sour due to increasingly tense disagreements over Israel and Gaza. For those unaware, Hasan, who is sympathetic to the plight of Palestinians in Gaza, came into odds with Ethan, especially considering his wife, Hila Klein, served in the Israel Defense Forces.
Eventually, Ethan and Hasan decided to end their partnership in 2023. Since then, the former collaborators have never missed a chance to criticize each other publicly. This turned their professional split into a prolonged online feud.
Hasan Piker, who is best known online as HasanAbi, also took a dig at Ethan following his cheating allegations. In one post, he wrote, “Judge me by my enemies,” which is a pretty clear reference to the H3 Podcast founder. He then went on to share a video where Ethan can be seen condemning men who cheat on their wives, particularly when children are involved. He sarcastically captioned the post as, “Now this is a high-caliber man with good morals.”
The clip in question came from an old H3 Podcast segment where Ethan Klein criticized infidelity and questioned why married men betrayed their families. Hasan later doubled down on his criticism of Ethan by responding to a user who suggested that the podcaster’s scandal had given him a victory. According to him, Ethan’s alleged infidelity and its effect on his family were far more significant than their personal feud. In their words:
“I think the worst part is the cheating on his wife of 20 years, who he had three kids with, but I guess you got different standards.”
Hila Klein detailed Ethan Klein’s six-month-long affair
Hila Klein took to Instagram to share that she suspected something was wrong. However, she initially gave in to her husband, Ethan’s explanations. Hila claimed that Ethan’s account went from “just a kiss” to “emotional cheating.” He then accepted that he had been cheating on Hila and having an affair for more than six months. Hila wrote:
“The betrayal I feel is immeasurable. The person I loved and trusted for 20 years evaporated overnight. He was my safe place, my partner in marriage, parenting, and business. My only family on this side of the world. How do I even begin to make sense of this?”
As of now, Hila said that she is in survival mode and trying to navigate separation, co-parenting, and unthinkable heartbreak. While saying that her main focus is going to be to take care of herself and her children, Hila urged her followers to trust their instincts and get up and leave if they are not treated right.
Meanwhile, Ethan broke his silence after his cheating controversy via his Instagram Stories. Instead of addressing the allegations head-on, he said that he understands people are looking for a comment from him. He went on to ask everyone to respect his family’s privacy and not to contact them looking for him or asking for their comments.
