A survivor of the 26/11 Mumbai te**or attack has reacted to the red screen scene in Ranveer Singh's movie, 'Dhurandhar'.
Aditya Dhar directed movie, Dhurandhar, that features Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, has been unshakable at the box office. The movie showcases one of the darkest and most horrendous chapters in India's history. Dhurandhar recreated the terrifying 26/11 Mumbai te**or attacks. In one of the spine-chilling scenes, the screen turns red as real transcripts of the te**o*ists conversations with the handlers appear on screen. A 26/11 survivor named, Rajita Bagga has now emotionally reacted to the same.
For the unversed, 26/11 survivor Rajita Bagga has been an author, who, during the attacks, was at Mumbai's Taj Hotel in Colaba with her husband, Ajay Bagga. She took to X(formerly Twitter) to react to the scene and penned about how she had heard real voices of the handlers who had ordered the te**o*ists. It was revolting, inhuman, and disturbing. Rajita tweeted:
"The most bone-chilling scene in #Dhurandhar for me was the red screen where the actual voice recordings of the 26/11 te**orists and their handlers were played. To hear what the handlers were instructing the te**o*ists to do — how brutal, inhuman and disgusting it was — just sent shivers through my body. To see the scene recreated from the other side — the handlers celebrating every bomb going off and every person ki**ed — if that doesn’t fill us with rage and a renewed commitment to national security, what else will?”
Social media cannot stop praising Aditya Dhar's movie, Dhurandhar. Rajita could personally relate to the movie that has drawn inspiration from all real-life events, depicting the terrific night of the 26/11 te**or*st attacks in Mumbai. Rajita revealed that the movie sent chills down her spine and praised Ranveer and Aditya for it. She revealed of feeling fortunate to have been survived the a**acks with her husband. Rajita revealed being rescued post 14 hours and wrote:
"We were fortunate to survive the heinous te**o*ist attack that night and were rescued alive after 14 hours. 17 years have passed but the memory of what happened and what could have happened to us just shook me to the core. Huge credit to Dhurandhar and its makers@AdityaDharFilms for ensuring that an entire new generation understands what truly happened on 26/11 in just those 2–3 minutes. That look of @RanveerOfficial will haunt an entire generation."
For the unversed, in Dhurandhar, Ranveer Singh essays the role of 'Hamza Ali Mazari', a young man who infiltrates the gang of 'Rehman Dakait's (Akshaye Khanna), marries 'Yalina' (Sara Arjun), who is the daughter of a politician named, Jameel Jamali (Rakesh Bedi). Dhurandhar has layered narrative and director, Aditya Dhar a while ago responded to 26/11 survivor, Rajita Bagga's post. He wrote:
"Your words remind us why this story had to be told. That moment was shaped to reflect the brutal truth. If it leaves a mark, it is to ensure we remember, stand united, and never allow such darkness to return. Thank you for surviving, for speaking, and for strengthening our collective resolve."
Netizens also reacted to Rajita's post. One user, understanding the sensitivity of the situation, commented, "Some memories are never meant to fade. Respect to those who lived through it and to those we lost." A user wrote, "His movie needs to be dubbed in all languages. I hope it captures the essence and lets everyone understand the importance of National Security, National Integrity, and National Unity."
