For the uninitiated, Kelly and Aimee haven't been on speaking terms for years. Kelly, in several of her interviews, talked about her strained bond with Aimee Osbourne, and recently The Sun reported that the latter's reunion with Jack and Sharon was not liked by her younger sister.
This again led people to look back at Aimee's strained relationship with her family. Aimee moved out of the home when she was just 16 years old to focus on her music career and to protect the privacy of her life. When, in 2002, the family agreed to do the MTV show The Osbournes, Aimee didn't want to be a part of it, and she moved out of their home. Sharon had talked about the same during one of her interviews while sharing the real reason for Aimee leaving their home.
Sharon Osbourne talked about her daughter, Aimee's decision to leave home
During one of the episodes on The Osbournes, Sharon mentioned that she felt sorry that her daughter, Aimee, was not a part of the show. However, she understood why Aimee decided to do the same. She mentioned that they were followed by 30 crew members at their home, which no longer felt like a home and had turned into a studio. Sharing that she possibly wouldn't do anything differently right now, Aimee's mom said:
"The house wasn't a home anymore. It was a studio. So, I get why she didn't like it. But would I have done it differently? I didn’t know what I was doing then. So you know, I wouldn't have done anything differently because I had an unbelievable time doing it."
Aimee's mom, Sharon said that she is just sorry that her daughter hasn't joined them in their journey together. Aimee wanted to pursue her music career and didn't want to be a celebrity. Aimee's mom further mentioned that her daughter left home at just 16 years old, and it was because the home's atmosphere with 30 crew members drove her insane.
Aimee didn't wish to grow up in front of the camera, and she felt the idea was appalling. According to Aimee's mom, it broke her heart, and she regretted it every day that her daughter left the home. Speaking more about the same, Sharon said:
"My eldest girl, Aimée, left home at 16 and she couldn’t live in our house because we were filming and it drove her insane. She felt too that she didn’t want to grow up on camera. She hated the idea — it was appalling to her. And so she left at 16, and I regret every day that she did. She was happy, but it broke my heart when she moved."

In August 2002, Aimee talked about her decision. She didn't talk much about her strained bond with Kelly; however, in the 2002 interview, she said that she respected her privacy too much to be followed by cameras.
According to Aimee, she has always been around a famous father and that she always valued her privacy within that family. Aimee mentioned that it definitely worked out best for the family, but for her personally, she never could consider being followed by cameras 24/7. Aimee, sharing more about her decision to leave her home, said:
"And for me personally, and for who I am, you know, as far as morally and also just to give myself a chance to actually develop into a human being as opposed to just being remembered for being a teenager, it didn't really line up with what I saw my future as. It definitely worked great for the rest of my family, but for me, and who I am, I just knew it was never something that I would have been able to consider realistically."
Kelly, on the other hand, openly admitted the strained bond between her and Aimee, while confirming that they would never reconcile. Kelly shared that she respects and accepts her; however, they are totally different. She added that the reason for their separation is the horrible things she has said and thrived on while she was not doing well. Jack also admitted that he did not share a good bond with his sister.
