'Love Overboard' Season 1 is here, and the viewers have already been picking favourites. Amid the buzz, let's take a quick look at who took home the grand prize of the show.
Hulu released its brand-new reality show, Love Overboard, on Thursday, March 26, 2026 (ET). The competition is being described as a crossover between Love Island and The Traitors. Hosted by reality star Gabby Windey, the show is executive-produced by Pip culture powerhouse, Alex Cooper, known for her podcast, Call Her Daddy. The reality show features 22 singles entering a yacht, with four couples living in luxury on the topside while the rest of the contestants serve as the crew on the downside.
For the unversed, Love Overboard Season 1 was filmed in Malta back in June 2025, which means almost a year has passed since the winners were crowned. So, as the show finally premieres, singles attempt to break up active couples. Let's take a quick look at what happened in the show and who won the very first season.
The cast of Love Overboard Season 1 was divided into three groups: the men, the women, and the shipwreckers. The very first group included an array of eye candies coming from all walks of life. The men included Andrew, a 29-year-old former finance professional; Beau, a 25-year-old personal trainer and model; David (29), a pediatric trauma therapist; James (26), a chemist; and Keif (23), a law enforcement officer.
Koray worked in tech sales; while Reece was a boat captain and jet ski guide; and last but not least, we had Tim, (30), a startup co-founder and CEO. Love Overboard Season 1 had a spectrum of gorgeous women with accomplished careers, starting with the 22-year-old line dance instructor, Bella, 33-year-old content creator Enna, the luxury real estate agent, Gia (22), Lo (29) worked in healthcare recruiting and marketing; Leela, 21, a student; Lexi, 26, an executive assistant in the technology industry.
Sade, 30, an IT project manager, and Sofia, 28, a real estate agent. The final group was the 'Shipwreckers', consisting of the fitness coach, Bradley; the social media manager, Christine; Delaney, a fashion and beauty professional; Jake, 23, a run club owner; Prasad, 26, a business consultant; and Val, 26, a recruitment consultant.
At the end of the nine-episode series, it was Tim Demirjian and Gia Aldisert who were crowned the winners of Love Overboard Season 1. They beat out fellow finalists David Fuhrmann and Val Zuluaga to win the grand prize of a USD 100,000 trip around the world. Ahead of the premiere, Gia revealed on TikTok that the series was filmed "about a year ago", which means quite a bit of time has passed since they coupled up and won the grand prize.
For some context, Tim is a co-founder of the vodka seltzer company Dezo, while Gia is an influencer who's casually best friends and roommates with Iris Kendall from Love Island USA. However, the biggest question now is whether the couple are still together. Well, the two currently follow each other on Instagram, and Tim also follows Gia's twin brother. So, while there is no certainty about whether the two are together, they definitely seem to be on good terms.
Tim and Gia have also appeared in interviews where they were asked about their 'typical type' in partners. Responding to the same, Tim told Elite Daily that he usually goes for "5-foot-8, brunette, tan skin, curvy, great smile. And attitude’s hot." Whereas, Gia shared that she loves a "masculine, dominant man with dark features. They need to be tall—6-foot-2 and above, please. I'm 5-foot-9, and I wear heels, so I need you to match my energy next to me."
Tim and Gia's relationship gradually developed over the course of the show. Initially, Gia was interested in Beau, especially after he won a challenge in Episode 2 and brought her to the topside. However, things shifted when Tim pursued Gia during a cocktail party, sparking a connection between them. After earning a reward for his boldness, Tim chose Gia for a date, where their chemistry became clear, even though Gia held back out of respect for Beau.
Eventually, Gia followed her heart and chose Tim, sending Beau home and securing Tim's place beside her. However, they decide to take things slow, maintaining a steady relationship for the rest of the show. Nonetheless, it wasn't without challenges; the couple faced a rough patch during a spin-the-bottle game, when Gia felt Tim crossed a line, but they resolved the issue maturely. As their bond deepened, they reached the Top 5 and ultimately won the show.
Tim and Gia have a seven-year age difference. He was born in April 1995 and is about to turn 31. On the other hand, she was born in May 2002 and will turn 24 in 2026.
