Patrick Reed is married to Justine Karain. The couple have been together since their college time. They have been part of each other's lives. Patrick married Justine in 2012. However, their love story started on an interesting note. Patrick was a freshman at the University of Georgia. On the other hand, Justine's sister, Kris, was at LSU. He first went on a date with her.
After the date, Patrick tried to connect with Kris to know if she reached home safely, but she left him on hold. So, that's when he reached out to Justine on Facebook. She confirmed that her sister was back, and in an honest reply, she stated that things cannot work out between him and her sister. So, that's how they started talking, and he was impressed with Justine, who was pursuing dual degrees. He said:
"I was a freshman at the University of Georgia, and her younger sister, Kris, was at LSU. Kris came to visit, and we went on one date, and I texted her to confirm she’d made it back home safe. No response. So I reached out to Justine on Facebook, who confirmed her sister was back and got frank with me about why it was probably not going to work out. So I start talking with Justine, who I discovered is this incredibly driven person who was pursuing dual degrees while working to become a nurse."
Patrick Reed and Justine Karain kept talking to each other and then started dating, which was the best decision of their lives. Justine fulfilled her dream of becoming a nurse, but she left it midway to become a caddie for Patrick Reed as he worked hard to establish himself on the PGA Tour. The two started travelling around the country as he qualified in tournaments during his early days as a professional golfer.
Recalling their early years, Patrick Reed revealed that they were road warriors as he would drive her Lexus IS 250 sedan. He revealed that she would have extra clothes, a bag full of makeup, a bag full of hair products and 50 pairs of shoes. He revealed it was hilarious to put down the seat to catch some sleep as she drove through the night. Patrick always appreciated Justine for putting her dream aside for his. He said:
"I had extra clubs and clothes. She had a full bag of makeup, full bag of hair products, 50 pairs of shoes. Pretty hilarious just trying to tilt down the seat to catch some sleep as she’s driving through the night so that I could make a tee time. With her caddying, we went six for eight in PGA Tour Mondays that year. For her to put her dreams aside to support me, I’ll never forget that. Someday I hope to be half the person she is."
