In the latest Weekend ka Vaar episodes, Rohit Shetty schooled the duo on what he deemed 'inappropriate' behaviour.
Scout's girlfriend, Kaashvi Hiranandani, also made a guest appearance, slamming Love and Scout for their behaviour, calling it "disgusting." After that, Love felt the couple spoiled her career by assassinating her character. Amid that, she may have hinted at her past controversy with an older actor, recalling the tough time she faced back then.
After Kaashvi Hiranandani's explosive allegations against Love Gill and ScoutOP, the Bigg Boss 20 contestants sat to talk things out. Love was particularly upset with Scout, saying that whatever Kaashvi said was mostly right and that he didn't defend his Bigg Boss co-contestant. She accused him of ruining her career by tarnishing her image. During their chat, Love recalled a past controversy, saying that things had been very hard for her back then.
Love Gill stated that she got out of the situation with great difficulty and shared the timeline as being just a month before her Bigg Boss venture. Love's words showed the emotional toll the controversy must have taken on her. She emotionally said that Kaashvi's accusations might have landed her in yet another scandal shortly after she got over the previous one. In her words:
"Maine pehle bhi bataya hai, main bahut mushkil se nikli hoon...Main ek mahine pehle in sab cheezon se bahar nikal ke aayi hoon."
During the conversation, Love didn't explicitly name anyone; however, people who have followed her for a long time, and those aware of her controversy with 55-year-old Gurpreet Ghuggi, thought she was referring to it.
A Canada-based YouTuber and a local social media handle falsely accused Love Gill and popular actor-comedian Gurpreet Ghuggi of having an affair. 30-year-old Love and Gurpreet, who is 25 years her senior, worked together on the Punjabi film Furlow, after which the controversy erupted. Notably, he is married with two kids, so his link-up with Love drew intense online scrutiny.
Some sensationalised headlines were made about Love and Gurpreet, which claimed that she was given a Rs. 5 crore financial settlement in lieu of her silence about the alleged affair and an alleged secret pregnancy. However, there was no truth to the buzz, and Love Gill and Gurpreet Ghuggi both denied the claims. Gurpreet took legal action and said the entire incident was a smear campaign meant to damage his name and fame, which he built through hard work.
The content behind the fake buzz was also removed from social media platforms, and it was reported that the channels that posted the unverified claims were paid for it. ABP Live reported that Gurpreet, in a video, said his team contacted the channels that posted low-quality memes and found that some local people and companies were behind it, and that they even paid to get it done.
Love and Gurpreet's scandal gained renewed attention after Kaashvi made unfiltered comments on her dynamics with Scout in the October 25, 2026, Weekend ka Vaar episode. She questioned Scout about his closeness to Love Gill and his behaviour inside the house, and stated, "Scout, aapka har word, har touch par zoom in kiya jaata hai."
Kaashvi also seemed quite upset that he compared her to Love Gill. Confronting him, Kaashvi asked, "And how did you think that you could compare me with her?" Kaashvi then went on to allege that the latter set a trap for him, and he readily walked into it. Expressing her as well as her family's discomfort at watching Scout and Love's skinship, Kaashvi said:
"It makes me feel disgusted. Meri family ko embarrassment feel hoti hai. Ek background character ki tarah kisi ladki ke peeche bhaag rahe ho."
