Recently, Lexie Brown opened up about her involvement in Klay Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion's breakup and admitted receiving death threats.
NBA player, Klay Thompson and the global superstar, Megan Thee Stallion have been dominating the headlines ever since the latter confirmed their breakup and also accused the star player of cheating on him. Soon, WNBA player, Lexie Brown was dragged into the matter. Well now, Lexie has come forward to slam the rumours, explaining that she has been receiving death threats.
Recently, Lexie Brown had a conversation with Fox News, during which she slammed reports, who dragged her in between Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson’s relationship and breakup. Lexie explained that she can consider Klay as her friend as both of them play basketball; however, she does not know his ex-girlfriend, Megan. Lexie Brown was quoted as saying:
"Me and Klay do know each other, because we both play professional basketball. I am still the only person that has denied this entire situation of my involvement knowing 100% that what was being said is false. And the fact that I'm still the only one that is defending my name, I have no idea how to process that."
Further, during the same conversation, Lexie Brown also explained that she was expecting either Klay or Megan to come forward and reveal that the WNBA player was not involved in their relationship; however, nothing like that happened. In her words:
"I wouldn't have minded if either one of them came out and said it, because at the end of the day, they're the ones that are in the relationship, they're the ones that are dealing with this and they're the ones who are communicating with each other, so, one of them, if not both of them, know that it was not me."
Further, she also stated that she found it very difficult to process that everyone allowed her name to be dragged in the controversy of Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson. Lexie also explained that even though she expected the truth to be revealed on its own, nothing like that happened. WNBA player, Lexie Brown shared:
"The truth is over there somewhere and I was expecting it to reveal itself from that side of it, the side that actually has the issue. I had no involvement, no communication whatsoever during their relationship. So, for them to just allow me to get dragged, for a lot of people to allow me to get dragged through the mud for three or four days now, knowing 100% that what was being said is false, that surely someone would step in and say, 'No, this is a lie, please point your fingers somewhere else or don't point them at all.' ... It didn't happen."
Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson had been in a relationship since 2025. While it was just a rumour in the beginning, the two subtly confirmed it by sharing each other’s snaps on their IG handle. Later, they made multiple public appearances. Megan once described Klay as a ‘nice’ person and revealed that he keeps her very happy.
However, a few days ago, Megan Thee Stallion confirmed their breakup and also accused Klay for cheating on him. According to a report by People, Megan opened up about her split with Klay and said, "I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay. Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity."
