Pawan Kalyan recently confirmed the death of 'KGF 2' co-director, Kirtan Nadagouda's 4-year-old son, and revealed the cause behind his tragic demise.
Kirtan Nadagouda is a popular name in the Kannada film industry and is making his way into Telugu cinema. He was also the co-director of huge projects such as KGF 2 and Salaar. However, in a shocking and tragic piece of news, it has been reported that his four-year-old son passed away. Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM and actor, Pawan Kalyan, confirmed the news, revealing the cause of the child's untimely demise.
Kirtan Nadagouda and his wife, Samriddhi Patel, are in deep grief after the death of their four-year-old son, reported Kannada Prabha. The child, Sonarsh K Nadagouda, was stuck in an elevator that proved to be fatal, according to the local outlet. Although family members have yet to comment on the tragic news, actor-politician Pawan Kalyan has confirmed Sonarsh's untimely demise. Taking to his social media, the Deputy CM penned:
“The tragic death of director Sri Kirtan Nadagowda's son is heartbreaking. The tragedy that befell the family of Sri Kirtan Nadagowda, who is making his directorial debut in Telugu and Kannada, has left me deeply saddened. Chiranjeevi Sonarsh K. Nadagowda, son of Sri Keerthan and Smt. Samriddhi Patel passed away.”

Pawan Kalyan also confirmed that the KGF co-director's son passed away after being stuck in a lift. He also expressed deep sadness for the grieving parents and offered them condolences in these tough times. Pawan Kalyan wrote:
“I was deeply saddened to learn about the death of four-and-a-half-year-old Sonarsh, who got stuck in a lift. I express my deepest condolences to Sri Kirtan and Smt. Samriddhi. I pray to the Almighty to give the couple the courage to overcome the grief of their son.”
Kirtan Nadagouda has served as an integral part of the direction department of many Kannada films. He got his breakout opportunity while co-directing KGF 2 and Salaar, both of which were mega projects. Kirtan is also all set to make his directorial debut in the Telugu film industry with a horror film. The film was launched in November 2025 with a puja.
Pawan Kalyan serves as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and also continues appearing on the silver screen as a megastar. In 2025, two of his big-budget films were released, Hari Hara Veera Mallu and They Call Him OG. His upcoming film, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, is being filmed and will be released in 2026. Talking about his personal life, Pawan Kalyan has been married three times. The actor-turned-politician and his first wife, Nandini, do not have any children together. He shares a son and a daughter with his second wife, Renu Desai. Pawan Kalyan is now married to Anna Lezhneva, and they are parents to a son and a daughter.
