Goldsmith, 52, and O'Reilly, 62, tied the knot on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in a private weekend ceremony attended by close family members and friends. Jemima's brother, Ben Goldsmith, and sister-in-law Jemima Jones were among the people who publicly confirmed the news on social media. The couple has reportedly been together for around a year after they met through their work in films and documentaries.
O'Riley is an Irish-Australian businessman, a financier, former media executive and film producer whose career has taken him from public relations and journalism to private equity and the entertainment industry. He comes from a rather prominent Irish business family. His father, the late Sir Anthony O'Reilly, was a former Irish international rugby player and a media magnate.
O'Reilly graduated from Oxford and initially began his professional career in business. He later joined his father and worked in newspapers through Independent News & Media and Australian publisher APN News & Media. He eventually shifted his focus to private equity and investment.
In 2003, O'Reilly founded his own private equity firm firm Bayard Capital, which acquired and expanded Swiss smart-metering company Landis+Gyr before selling it to Toshiba in 2011 for USD 2.3 billion. Reports at the time estimated that O'Reilly and his father could have personally pocketed up to EUR 224 million from the deal.
Cameron's father himself was once a billionaire and controlled major media assets across Europe and Australia before facing severe financial difficulties. These numbers leave little room for doubt that his net worth amounts to at least several millions at the moment.
Besides his equity business, O'Reilly has maintained links to the entertainment world, having worked as an executive producer on various films and documentaries. That background is what reportedly connected him to Jemima, a British journalist and filmmaker.
O'Riley reportedly proposed to Goldsmith in May 2026, according to the Daily Mail. He is known as an extremely private person, with Goldsmith respecting his desire to stay out of the spotlight. The couple were reportedly "very happy" together. O'Reilly was previously married and has four children from that relationship. Goldsmith, meanwhile, has two sons with Khan.
Neither Jemima nor Cameron has publicly commented on their reported wedding so far, nor have they shared details about their relationship or wedding ceremony.
When Goldsmith first married Khan in 1995, the marriage made international headlines. She was only around 20-21 years old at the time, while the ex-cricketer and PM was 42. Shortly after their wedding, Khan transitioned from cricket to a full-time political career, launching the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party that demanded a lot of time and dedication. Khan later spoke to The Times, reflecting that he needed to put more effort into their marriage to make it work, but his career left little room for a normal family life.
Despite the issues, the couple spent around nine years together before announcing their divorce in 2004. They went on to co-parent their sons, Sulaiman and Kasim, after Goldsmith returned to Britain with the children.
Goldsmith has continued to speak warmly about her sons and the importance of family. She has also built a career of her own as a filmmaker, producer, journalist and human rights advocate. She founded Instinct Productions and has worked across television and film, including writing and producing the romantic comedy What's Love Got to Do with It?, directed by Shekhar Kapur. She has also written for publications such as The New Statesman and Vanity Fair.
The news of her second marriage comes as she continues to publicly support her former husband during his imprisonment in Pakistan. Goldsmith has repeatedly raised concerns about Khan's health and the situation surrounding his detention, particularly from the perspective of their two sons. Despite their divorce more than 20 years ago, Goldsmith and Khan have remained connected through their children.
