Lock Upp 2 continues to win hearts with its mix of drama, controversies and emotional moments. And recently at the centre of it all has been the much-loved actor, Dheeraj Dhoopar. The actor made headlines after host Riteish Deshmukh questioned him about the alleged chits found in his belongings. Accusations were made against Dhoopar's family for trying to send outside information into the show through a chit hidden in his belongings.
Amid that, Dheeraj Dhoopar's wife Vinny Arora made an appearance on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa to show her support for her husband. However, things soon turned heavy when the couple broke down as they reunited, leaving fans touched by their bond. What's more interesting is that the news came less than a day after reports went rife that Dhoopar has exited the reality show due to a family emergency.
Dheeraj Dhoopar's wife Vinny Arora previously addressed the entire fiasco on her social media. She issued a clarification on the chits found in her husband's belongings and shared that it was not related to the game or any strategy. She revealed that Dhoopar had been sick before joining the cast of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, and seeing her husband in the recent episodes made her worried about his health. She said:
"In that message, I asked Dheeraj if he was okay. If he wasn't, he should give me a sign. If he was okay, then he should play his game more actively. There was no outside information, no strategy, nothing like that. It was just a wife concerned about her husband."
Vinny Arora further shared that even the makers understood her intentions and believed that she did so purely out of concern for her husband. For the unversed, Dheeraj Dhoopar was let go after a warning about the chits. He stated:
"Even the makers understood that it came from a place of genuine concern. That's why they warned Dheeraj, even though it wasn't really his fault. He wasn't the one trying to cheat. I made an emotional mistake."
Vinny Arora's explanation about the entire fiasco came after Dheeraj Dhoopar faced intense backlash for the chits. Fans were not happy about Dhoopar being let go with just a warning. The entire chit scandal came to light when addressing the contestant, Riteish questioned Dheeraj last week and said,
"We don't allow any family member to visit the contestants. However, on humanitarian grounds, we allowed your son to meet you. That day, someone from your family tried to smuggle chits inside the show. We did not pay much attention to it then and let it slide. However, once again, along with your belongings, your family tried to send a chit with winning strategies written on it."
