Add BollywoodShaadis on GooglePrime Video's latest French romantic drama Campus Drivers ends its first season with a major cliffhanger. In fact, it left fans wondering about 'Lane' and 'Lois's' future. The show's finale reveals a major truth about 'Lane's' past and introduces a new problem that could separate the couple.
What is Campus Drivers about?
Campus Drivers is a six-episode series based on the story of 'Lois,' played by Carmen Kassovitz. She is a student who comes to Belrose University with her longtime boyfriend, 'Max,' played by Enzo Lorente. However, her future plans take a hit when 'Max' suddenly breaks up with her. In turn, she is left without a place to stay.

Eventually, she meets 'Lane O'Neill,' played by Baptiste Masseline. He is a wealthy student who runs a ride-hailing service called Campus Drivers with his friends. Although they come from different backgrounds, 'Lois' ends up living with 'Lane.' Soon, their initial conflicts turn into friendship and romance. However, their bond faces multiple challenges due to 'Max's’ interference and 'Lane's' troubled past.
The show's finale reveals the truth about 'Lane's' brother, 'Mike.' His death has haunted 'Lane' for years because he had argued with 'Mike' and gave him his motorcycle keys when he was heavily drunk. Later, 'Aaron,' who was using 'Mike' for drug money, pressured him to chase 'Lane' on the motorcycle. 'Mike' eventually crashed and died. Since then, 'Lane' has blamed himself for the tragedy.
At the Balrose University Alumni Gala, 'Lane' confronts 'Aaron.' He punches him after finding out the truth about his role in his brother's death. After this fight, 'Lois' finds 'Lane' and helps him to understand that he cannot keep blaming himself for the past. Eventually, they reconcile and admit their feelings for each other.
However, just when things seem to be working out for the couple, 'Lane's' mother, 'Daphne,' reveals that she has arranged for him to move to Los Angeles to make a career in films. 'Lane' refuses to leave 'Lois,' but his mother gives him an ultimatum. She threatens to withdraw 'Lois's' medical scholarship if he does not agree with her. Since the scholarship is important for 'Lois,' 'Lane' faces a dilemma.

At the end, 'Lois' returns to their apartment in the final scene and finds movers packing 'Lane's' belongings. She tries to call him, but he does not reply to her calls. Although the show does not confirm his whereabouts, the scene suggests that 'Lane' has decided to leave for Los Angeles to protect 'Lois's' scholarship. However, there is no exact closure.
Will there be a Campus Drivers Season 2?
Prime Video has not officially confirmed Campus Drivers Season 2 as of November 2026. Since the first season came out on November 6, 2026, they will likely wait for its viewership figures before making a final call. However, there is enough source material for another reason.
The show is based on C.S. Quill's five-book series. It includes Fast Lane, Crash Course, Test Drive, Love Machine, and Good Luke. If the show gets renewed, Season 2 may focus on 'Lane' and 'Lois's' bond after his sudden move to Los Angeles and introduce new romances for his friends. The second book, Crash Course, is based on 'Donovan,' giving a new storyline to the viewers.
