Jennifer Lawrence has recently been in the headlines for her comment on plastic surgery. However, this isn't the first time the actress has been in the headlines. Jennifer previously left the internet abuzz when her nude photos were allegedly leaked by actors. For the unversed, the photos were meant for the actress' then-boyfriend. While the actress initially felt embarrassed, she soon realized she was the one who had been violated and defended her decision.

Jennifer Lawrence once defended sending nudes to her long-distance BF after the pictures were leaked

Jennifer Lawrence's nudes were leaked in a hacking scandal over a decade ago. However, instead of letting it bring her down, the actress defended having the pictures on her phone. She called the attack "a sex crime" and revealed to Vanity Fair in November 2014 that it was "disgusting" and demanded that the laws be changed.

Jennifer shared that she could not begin to understand how someone could be that detached from humanity. She expressed her dismay at the fact that anyone could be sexually exploited and violated without the websites holding any responsibility and said:

"It is a sexual violation. It's disgusting. The law needs to be changed, and we need to change. That's why these websites are responsible. Just the fact that somebody can be sexually exploited and violated, and the first thought that crosses somebody's mind is to make a profit from it. It's so beyond me. I just can't imagine being that detached from humanity. I can't imagine being that thoughtless and careless and so empty inside."

Jennifer Lawrence further shared how she almost wrote an apology. However, she soon realized that she wasn't the person who should have to apologize for what happened. The actress recalled trying to compose a statement when news of the cyber hacking broke, but "every single thing that I tried to write made me cry or get angry."

She further wrote that she was in a loving relationship at the time and only wanted to send the pictures to her then-boyfriend. While Jennifer Lawrence didn't name her partner, she said they had been dating for four years and were in a long-distance relationship. She was quoted as saying:

"I started to write an apology, but I don't have anything to say I'm sorry for. I was in a loving, healthy, great relationship for four years. It was long-distance, and either your boyfriend is going to look at porn, or he's going to look at you."

Jennifer Lawrence slammed people who saw her nude pictures

In September 2026, images of the American Hustle star, as well as Kate Upton and Kirsten Dunst, appeared on 4chan, Reddit, and other sites. Three weeks later, another round of pictures hit the internet, including private photos of Rihanna, Amber Heard and Kim Kardashian. Jennifer Lawrence spoke about the leaks and called out the people who saw her pictures.

During the conversation, Jennifer Lawrence revealed that anyone who looked at her pictures was perpetuating a sexual offense. She called them out and stated that she never gave them permission to look at her pictures. While she was upset, she said she wanted to move on and find her own peace. She stated:

"Anybody who looked at those pictures, you're perpetuating a sexual offense. You should cower with shame. Even people who I know and love say, 'Oh, yeah, I looked at the pictures.' I don't want to get mad, but at the same time I'm thinking, I didn't tell you that you could look at my naked body. Time does heal, you know. I'm not crying about it anymore. I can't be angry anymore."
