It was only seven months ago that Denise Richards took to social media to share her before-and-after photo, leaving everyone shocked.
Unlike most of the artists, Denise didn't hide that she had gone under the knife. She openly discussed how and why she did what she did, along with revealing how her estranged husband leaked the information about her surgery in public. So, here's everything that Denise Richards revealed about her surgery.
In March 2026, Denise Richards took to her social media handle and, in collaboration with her doctor, shared her before-and-after photo. In addition, Denise opted for a facelift. Speaking about the same, she revealed that she was 'terrified'. A month ago, in August 2026, on Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blonde podcast, the 55-year-old actress further discussed the procedure and shared that it was not even her initial plan to get her face done.
She stated that she thought of doing the cosmetic surgery on her neck; however, one of her well-known friends, who is not public about her own surgeries, advised her to get the whole package done. Denise admitted that she was 'scared' of the same, given that she was not happy with the results from the Botox and fillers she had done earlier. However, the actress opted for it anyway and trusted her doctor with the same. She revealed:
"Originally I had been thinking about doing just my neck... and then a friend of mine, she’s very well-known, and she’s not public about hers, and she said to me, ‘You have to do the whole thing.’ And I was like, ‘I don’t want to do the whole thing, I’m scared.’"
According to Denise, the doctor had worked on her 'neck, the lower face, the upper, brows, and lower lids'. Denise admitted that, when it came to the brow lift, it was simply 'no joke'; however, despite the pain and discomfort, she felt it was the best thing she did for herself, even though she revealed she was still numb (her August 2026 interview). Denise Richards' cosmetic surgeries include a facelift, temporal brow lift, upper blepharoplasty, lip lift for the outer corners of her mouth, and fat grafting.
Denise Richards spoke about her surgeries in an interview with Allure. The actress stated that although she had done plastic surgery before, the idea of the doctor working on her face was simply terrifying to her. She shared that she had her breasts done at the age of 19, and has had revision surgery for her implants since then.
The actress in the interview detailed the painful procedure that she had gone through; however, within 10 days of the same, she revealed that she was able to go out in public as she was healing. However, it was her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, who, according to the actress, 'let the cat out of the bag'. Denise was going through her divorce, and her ex was the one to disclose her surgeries.
According to the actress, he even had a paparazzi photo show up outside a clinic where she had an appointment. Denise was back and forth about being public regarding her surgeries; however, she found it ridiculous when she found out that her ex revealed that she had surgery and also added that it was 'botched'. She shared:
"Going through my divorce, my ex disclosed that I’d had a facelift. He had a photographer show up outside an appointment where I had some microneedling on my scars. So [my ex] told someone that I had a facelift, and said it was botched, which is really ridiculous. You know, I went back and forth about whether I was going to say anything about my facelift—um, he kind of let the cat out of the bag. I think I could have gotten away with, ‘Oh, she looks so much better after her divorce.’ I think I probably would've been able to get away with it—or not, I don't know."
